ANSWER #1 of 2

No, Protestant

ANSWER #2 of 2

The Church of England was formed by Henry VIII when he wanted to divorce Catherine of Aragon, but the Catholic church would not approve of this. He formed a new church and moved away from Catholicism in England. Monarchs after him varied in their own religious beliefs and whether they wanted England to be a Catholic or Protestant (Church of England) country.
