I'm 17 and I've been dating this guy for 8 months but then we broke up right after Christmas and we got back together at the end of January. We had unprotected sex and now I'm pretty sure I have chlamydia. I really want to go get tested but I know if I do have it, my doctor will have to tell my parents and I don't want them to know.. Is there any way I can get treated without having my parents find out? Or is there any over the counter antibiotics that I can take to treat it?
I know that you don't want your parents to know...but I think you should tell them. Sneaking around and going to a clinic to get tested/treated may be fine for the moment but if they find out later that you didn't tell them it could make their reaction even worse. It's best to be honest with your parents even if you think they will be mad. Having unprotected sex was very irresposible! I know that not using a condom feels better but it's better to be safe than sorry. If you are adament about not telling your parents though about what happened then Iffy's advice would b wise to follow. Planned parenthood clinics are the best way to go...please b careful next time :)
I don't think they have to tell your parents.... You should go to a planned parenthood because I know that they do everything confidentially. You need to use protection because next time it may be an incurable disease that you will carry with you the rest of your life.
