Where do punjabi people originally come from?

Hi I am a punjabi from india and I am just wondering where do punjabi people come from and what are our orgins because I have done some reaserch and have found that we are indo-aryans who come from south europe throug iran,iraq and afgeanistan? I am just wondering if you guys can give more help on this topic. Thanks for reading and I hope you answer my QUestion.

Here is what I found from Wikipedia:

The Punjabi people (Punjabi: ਪੰਜਾਬੀ, پنجابی, also Panjabi people) are an Indo-Aryan ethnic group from South Asia. They originate from the Punjab region, which has been host to some of the oldest civilizations in the world including one of the world’s first and oldest civilizations, The Indus Valley Civilization.
