Belly Button ring..infected? rejecting?

So it’s only been 3 days since I got my navel pierced at a great piercing/tattoo place. It was very clean, she opened everything in front of me, as well as cleaned my navel before she pierced it. But now around the top hole of my piercing it is red, sore and very sensitive. It’s really bothering me not knowing what to do about this. I use H2Ocean and also soak my navel once in the morning and once at night. At night I even soak it in a shot class with salt water solution. HELP?

If they opened everything up in front of you and the skin was cleaned the chances of them infecting you is very low. But there still is a possibility but the fact that it is red is really no cause for alarm. Your body is no where near being fully healed yet, I would wait about a week or so before I would get worried. Keep in mind your belly button is much different then your ears. Because you dont move your ears as much as your stomach your body will take longer to adapt.

Answer #2

you are doing everything right. it will be tender for a while. you can also use some saline solution. and also a warm rag 3 to 4 times a day to speed up healing.

Answer #3

That all sounds pretty normal to me. Mine was sore for literally a year. Navel piercings are one of the slowest to heal. You might be actually cleaning it too much. If it gets worse or starts feeling hot to the touch, go back to your piercer and ask her advice.

thsts normal. its supposed to feel like that since its a recent belly button piercing.
