Why am I 18 and wanting a child so badly?

18 years old and wanting a child. Parents my 16 year old brother after the death of my mother. Financially stable.

YOU SHOULD REALLY WAIT IM A 18 YEAR OLD MOTHER OF 3 AND IM NOT GONNA SAY I WISH I WASNT BECAUSE I LOVE ALL MY BABYS TO DEATH BUT WAIT GET YOUR LIFE together GET MONEY SAVED UP MAKE A LIFE FOR YOUR SELF BEFOR YOU DO HAVE A BABY I DIDNT MAKE IT OUT OF 7TH GRADE AND I HATE IT AND DONT HAVE A JOB MY HUSBAND AND MOTHER SUPORT ME RIGHT NO UNTIL I GET OUT OF SCHOOL SO PLEASE WAIT THINK OF THE BABY AND THE PAIN YOU WILL BRING TO IT IF YOU CAN SUPORT IT YA KNOW WELL THATS HOW I FEEL GOD BLESS YOU

Because it is nice to have someone to love. But whether or not you’re a parent to a 16 year old, it doesnt mean you’re ready for a baby… You want what is best for the baby right? Someone who has a future (I.e. either college or some sort of education, or job security) is probably best for the baby. Someone who is in a steady relationship is best for the baby. Sorry but at 18 that does not exist. Someone who has saved up and knows what they want from life. It’s perfectly understandable to want a child. The mature thing is to realize what would be best for that child.

Ok so you are acting as the parent for your 16 yr old brother? I would guess that has brought how some motherly instinct in you.

I would recommend waiting a while though. Give your self some time to experience the things life has to offer. Once you have a kid you now have a huge responsibility on you hands that is going to take up most of your time. And a baby is noting like taking care of a 16 yr old.

wait till you have done college and are financially stable with a good job and your happy in a relationship with a bloke who is also in a job
