What do I do with a molting crab?

I dishwash in a kitchen and my boss found this little molting crab in an oyster shell and gave it to me to. He’s small and has no shell (its not a hermit crab though, some other kind of saltwater crab) and I’d like to try and keep him alive so my friend can take him to school with her and let him go in the ocean again. Any advice would be extremely helpful.

You need to find out exactly what type of crab it is to make sure you’re giving it the proper environment, food, etc. Post a picture of it and I’ll help you try to identify it. The only other option you have is to release the crab on the beach and let nature take it’s course.
