My Bird is Molting

My Bird is molting and he keeps scratching himself. Is that normal when they are molting or is the feather that is coming out bothering him?

It is normal that they scratch themselves more when there feathers come out…just check it out…if he/she starts bleeding or hurting itself it could be a sign of some sort of illness or skin condition. Also depending on what type of bird you have give it lots of fruits during this time (JUST NOT AVO OR WATERMELON ELSE THEY DIE) it helps with the condition of their feathers.
