Hermit crabs do best in humid conditions. Your home is probably a little dry for them. You should fully submerge your crabs in water for a minute every day and once a week you should give them a bath where you submerge them for 3 minutes (watch the clock! they won’t drown in 3 minutes but don’t loose track of time!). After their dip they will be quite active so give them some time out of the terrarium to explore a bit but keep an eye on them so you don’t loose any. You should have a natural sponge in their water dish to wick the water so more of it will evaporate in their terrarium.

Speaking of water use only bottled water. They can not tolerate chlorene.

Another thing is when selecting crabs get them all about the same size. When there is a disparity in size the bigger crabs tend to kill the smaller ones.
