Watergate scandal?

Okay, I know the watergate scandal had to do with nixon, and that’s why he had to resign.

Did the watergate have to do anything with clinton? Cause this kid on myspace, whom I’m arguing with over politics Keeps saying all these things about the watergate scandal and How clinton lied about the economy and all this crap. Did that really happen? Is he just an idiot? Cause I don’t know about any of that happening.

Not true at all. He resigned because congressional republicans told he had to, to avoid articles of impeachment that were about to be drawn up against him. He resigned to avoid impeachment.

Hillary Clinton was still Hillary Rodham back then. And she was part of the Watergate investigations. She didn’t follow Bill to Arkansas until after Watergate was over. Still, Zeitman’s accusations have never been backed up by anyone, as far as I know.

Jerry Zeifman, a guy who was on the Judiciary Committee during the Watergate investigations, claims to have fired Hillary Rodham for unethical practices. He also makes some pretty strong accusations about her wanting Nixon to stay in office so the Dems could win the next election.

But Whitewater was the scandal involving the Clintons, not Watergate

Eh, sorta. She was part of the investigation and was fired for being a liar and trying to violate the Constitution (in a way that would harm Nixon). I don’t think she said anything about the economy though.

watergate and clinton have nonething to do with one another. different time periods of presdents. watergate was a scandel that nixon organized becuse he was over parnoid of the democrats of wining the election but their was no chance they would win. also he didnt have to resign but he did anyways cause he was embaressed. clinton never lied about the economy ethier it was or current pres who has and still dose.
