What are your thoughts on Iran doing the same as what Egypt had done with the riots?

You think its a good idea or no

Answer #1

The history of Iran is different frim the history of Egypt. Egypt has been ruled by a greedy Dictator for 30 years. He’s got loyal people in all important parts of administration ans in the army. But there are a lot of well-educated but still poor an frustrated folks there.

The Iranians had a greedy Dictator-King once, the Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. There was a revolution in 1971, when the Iranians chased the Shah out of their country. But after that, the religious extremists - the Ayatollahs came to power. There’s no more freedom with the Ayatollahy than there was with the Shah - for some folks it even got worse. Lots of people have left Iran. Especially the well-educated. My Cousine is married to an Iranian man who lives in Germany because his parents has to flee Iran.

Iwish only the best for the Iranian people, but I’m not sure wether they can make it. If the entire Region, including Egypt, Jordania, Algeria, Syria, Tunisia, Jaman and all those countries will really establish democracy, the Iranians will, eventually, too.
