Is Iran really a threat?

well is iran really a threat?

Answer #1

Define threat? It certainly in not any imminent threat. They have no ability nor desire to threaten us at this time. But things may change if we keep up our sabre rattling.

Answer #2

It depends. A threat to what?

Iran is complicated, because you have the president and you have the Ayatollah. It’s entirely possible for the president of Iran to say and do one thing, while the Ayatollah does something else. This is a huge reason the US is having such difficulty with Iran right now. Ahmedinejad gets a lot of attention in the West, but he’s really nothing. The Ayatollah Khamenei is usually the one calling the shots.

I would definitely describe the Ayatollah Khamenei as a threat, especially to Iranian democracy.
