How is God real?

Everyone is Cristian or cathlic or w.e But I dont really like believe that there is a god.. I kind of think its like a Fairy tail for adults. Its like a Myth.. Its like believeing in Hurcules.. I just dont think a power like that canbe true. And if Poeple can believe in god just over say, Why do they not believe in things such as Devils. or Other mylical things? I think there must be like sum Scienific crap for how we were created… Oppinions Plzz xxx <3 Thx much luv

Answer #1

Let us first begin by admitting that we are not gods nor do we possess all knowledge. It is also necessary to remove from our minds and hearts any prejudices and prior notions of how everything came into being and how it is being sustained and perpetuated. This is the critical first step to gaining any true knowledge and establishing facts based on proof. Ask anyone the question: “Do you believe in God?” and you are sure to receive a variety of answers. The question should be “What do you believe about God?”

Think about this: • If there is a creation, there must be a Creator. • If there is a Creator, He must be the Sustainer • The Creator Cannot Create Himself • If He is the sole Creator/Sustainer – He must be ONE

God must be one.Otherwise we would see great differences and competition between the gods if there were one – Alone. Do we agree that this is a creation? Or do we accept that nothing came out of nothing to form this entire universe? This is a very clear message from Allah, in the Quran. Something does not come out of nothing. So, there must be something in existence already which created all that we know to exist. And that “something” needs to be called upon in times of need and thanksgiving. As Allah has said in His Book: “I only created you all to worship Me Alone.” He also says that we are all being tested by Him with regard to our wealth, families, children and social status.

Scientists’ Comments on Scientific Miracles in the Quran:

The following are some comments of scientists1 on the scientific miracles in the Holy Quran. All of these comments have been taken from the videotape entitled This is the Truth.

  1. Dr. T. V. N. Persaud is Professor of Anatomy, Professor of Pediatrics and Child Health, and Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. There, he was the Chairman of the Department of Anatomy for 16 years. He is well-known in his field. He is the author or editor of 22 textbooks and has published over 181 scientific papers. In 1991, he received the most distinguished award presented in the field of anatomy in Canada, the J.C.B. Grant Award from the Canadian Association of Anatomists. When he was asked about the scientific miracles in the Quran which he has researched, he stated the following: “The way it was explained to me is that Muhammad was a very ordinary man. He could not read, didn’t know [how] to write. In fact, he was an illiterate. And we’re talking about twelve [actually about fourteen] hundred years ago. You have someone illiterate making profound pronouncements and statements and that are amazingly accurate about scientific nature. And I personally can’t see how this could be a mere chance. There are too many accuracies and, like Dr. Moore, I have no difficulty in my mind that this is a divine inspiration or revelation which led him to these statements.”

Professor Persaud has included some Quranic verses and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad in some of his books. He has also presented these verses and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad at several conferences.

  1. Dr. Joe Leigh Simpson is the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Professor of Molecular and Human Genetics at the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, USA. Formerly, he was Professor of Ob-Gyn and the Chairman of the Department of Ob-Gyn at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, Tennessee, USA. He was also the President of the American Fertility Society. He has received many awards, including the Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology Public Recognition Award in 1992. Professor Simpson studied the following two sayings of the Prophet Muhammad :

{In every one of you, all components of your creation are collected together in your mother’s womb by forty days…}

{If forty-two nights have passed over the embryo, God sends an angel to it, who shapes it and creates its hearing, vision, skin, flesh, and bones…}

He studied these two sayings of the Prophet Muhammad extensively, noting that the first forty days constitute a clearly distinguishable stage of embryo-genesis. He was particularly impressed by the absolute precision and accuracy of those sayings of the Prophet Muhammad . Then, during one conference, he gave the following opinion:

“So that the two hadeeths (the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad ) that have been noted provide us with a specific time table for the main embryological development before forty days.Again, the point has been made, I think, repeatedly by other speakers this morning: these hadeeths could not have been obtained on the basis of the scientific knowledge that was available [at] the time of their writing . . . . It follows, I think, that not only there is no conflict between genetics and religion but, in fact, religion can guide science by adding revelation to some of the traditional scientific approaches, that there exist statements in the Quran shown centuries later to be valid, which support knowledge in the Quran having been derived from God.”

  1. Dr. E. Marshall Johnson is Professor Emeritus of Anatomy and Developmental Biology at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. There, for 22 years he was Professor of Anatomy, the Chairman of the Department of Anatomy, and the Director of the Daniel Baugh Institute. He was also the President of the Teratology Society. He has authored more than 200 publications. In 1981, during the Seventh Medical Conference in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, Professor Johnson said in the presentation of his research paper:

“Summary: The Quran describes not only the development of external form, but emphasizes also the internal stages, the stages inside the embryo, of its creation and development, emphasizing major events recognized by contemporary science.”

Also he said: “As a scientist, I can only deal with things which I can specifically see. I can understand embryology and developmental biology. I can understand the words that are translated to me from the Quran. As I gave the example before, if I were to transpose myself into that era, knowing what I knew today and describing things, I could not describe the things which were described. I see no evidence for the fact to refute the concept that this individual, Muhammad, had to be developing this information from some place. So I see nothing here in conflict with the concept that divine intervention was involved in what he was able to write.”

  1. Dr. William W. Hay is a well-known marine scientist. He is Professor of Geological Sciences at the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado, USA. He was formerly the Dean of the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science at the University of Miami, Miami, Florida, USA. After a discussion with Professor Hay about the Quran’s mention of recently discovered facts on seas, he said:

“I find it very interesting that this sort of information is in the ancient scriptures of the Holy Quran, and I have no way of knowing where they would come from, but I think it is extremely interesting that they are there and that this work is going on to discover it, the meaning of some of the passages.” And when he was asked about the source of the Quran, he replied: “Well, I would think it must be the divine being.”

  1. Dr. Gerald C. Goeringer is Course Director and Associate Professor of Medical Embryology at the Department of Cell Biology, School of Medicine, Georgetown University, Washington, DC, USA. During the Eighth Saudi Medical Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Professor Goeringer stated the following in the presentation of his research paper:

“In a relatively few aayahs (Quranic verses) is contained a rather comprehensive description of human development from the time of commingling of the gametes through organogenesis. No such distinct and complete record of human development, such as classification, terminology, and description, existed previously. In most, if not all, instances, this description antedates by many centuries the recording of the various stages of human embryonic and fetal development recorded in the traditional scientific literature.”

  1. Dr. Yoshihide Kozai is Professor Emeritus at Tokyo University, Hongo, Tokyo, Japan, and was the Director of the National Astronomical Observatory, Mitaka, Tokyo, Japan. He said:

“I am very much impressed by finding true astronomical facts in [the] Quran, and for us the modern astronomers have been studying very small pieces of the universe. We’ve concentrated our efforts for understanding of [a] very small part. Because by using telescopes, we can see only very few parts [of] the sky without thinking [about the] whole universe. So, by reading [the] Quran and by answering to the questions, I think I can find my future way for investigation of the universe.”

  1. Professor Tejatat Tejasen is the Chairman of the Department of Anatomy at Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand. Previously, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the same university. During the Eighth Saudi Medical Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Professor Tejasen stood up and said:

“During the last three years, I became interested in the Quran . . . . From my study and what I have learned from this conference, I believe that everything that has been recorded in the Quran fourteen hundred years ago must be the truth, that can be proved by the scientific means. Since the Prophet Muhammad could neither read nor write, Muhammad must be a messenger who relayed this truth, which was revealed to him as an enlightenment by the one who is eligible [as the] creator. This creator must be God. Therefore, I think this is the time to say La ilaha illa Allah, there is no god to worship except Allah (God), Muhammadur rasoolu Allah, Muhammad is Messenger (Prophet) of Allah (God). Lastly, I must congratulate for the excellent and highly successful arrangement for this conference . . . . I have gained not only from the scientific point of view and religious point of view but also the great chance of meeting many well-known scientists and making many new friends among the participants. The most precious thing of all that I have gained by coming to this place is La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammadur rasoolu Allah, and to have become a Muslim.”

After all these examples we have seen about the scientific miracles in the Holy Quran and all these scientists’ comments on this, let us ask ourselves these questions: Could it be a coincidence that all this recently discovered scientific information from different fields was mentioned in the Quran, which was revealed fourteen centuries ago? Could this Quran have been authored by Muhammad or by any other human being? The only possible answer is that this Quran must be the literal word of God, revealed by Him.

Answer #2

A few years back I asked the same question you did. And this is what I did. I pretty much prayed, “God if youre real then reveal yourself to me.” I just waited…Not even a month later I was learning a lot of really cool stuff like how the world began and moral law…For example…Picture looking down at our universe, and imagine erasing everything one at a time, til you get to the very last thing you see…Now erase that. Where did it come from? did it come from nothing??? or did it come from something?…The Big Boom or did something create it??? If you read in the bible youll also learn about all the prophecies. And still today they are still happening. I’ll try to remember some of them off the top of my head…such as Jesus said that when he comes back again to take us to heaven that everyone will see Him. And we always think, Well how could everyone in the world see him at the same time??? THink about the technology that is out there today…We have internet and television. As soon as something is happening somewhere in the world everyone knows about it!! Its crazy! Also think of this too…Whenever people read the bible they think that it just happened one event right after the other. But actually the bible is based off of different events over thousands of years in the making. and they were on scrolls not just in books in so many different places all over the world. And guess what these events were about??…God…One being. Not of many gods but just one being…THese stories were all about the same thing…God…and how he sent his Son to save us. Oh yeah and another cool fact! Do you know the story about Noah’s Ark? if you dont a good movie that raps it up for you is Evan Almighty hahaa its not exactly what the bible says but it gets the just of it. Well today if you go up to the top of a mountain and dig youll find fossils but not of mammals but of fish. And I know youll say O but that was millions of years ago…Actually I dont believe that the world is that old…I believe its only thousands of years old… You know how you can look deep in a cave and find those deep humps and scientists say that it take thousands and thousands of years to form those things(sorry forgot the word)…Well in a broken down underground subway(I think thats what theyre called) in the carts those same huge humps are growing there. and Im pretty sure thousands of years ago subways didnt exist. I hope I make since of all this… sorry if I dont…Im trying. But there is so much more to learn about our world and how God designed it and has every play in it. I definitely believe with all my heart mind and soul there is a God. ANd he loves us more than anything he has ever created…even for the ones who doesnt believe in him. Him bringing his son to earth to die for us just shows how much he loves us and how he would do anything to have us with him.

Answer #3

Throughout the course of the centuries there have been several logical proofs for the existence of God.

The most notable were developed by Aristotle several hundred years before the birth of Christ. Many of these were rewritten and re-explained by St. Thomas Aquinas in the 13th century.

They employ good logic and deduction which makes sense even today. In fact, they make even more sense in the light of modern science.

One of my favorite stories took place in the 19th century. A French scientist was speaking to an atheist. The atheist mentioned how he thought that with so much scientific data in the academic world, it seemed as if there was no concrete evidence that God exists.

The scientist replied that he noticed that the world had such a rigid structure and everything seemed to to be designed. He said that from the smallest atom to the motions of the planets around the sun, there was order everywhere. The scientist couldn’t imagine how all that natural order could just come about by pure chance. He said that he saw the order of the universe all pointed to the existence of God.

The scientist’s name was Luis Pasteure (the man who invented the process of “pasturization”). He demonstrated one of the five proofs of God: the argument from design. All scientists agree that there is a universal gravitational constant which determines the gravitational effects of planetary bodies. Who decided what that should be or that it should exist at all? It all points to the existence of a higher being.

I won’t discuss the other 4 proofs right now, but I will say that each of them has its own value and can help put the puzzle together. For those interested in doing further reading I recommend “Mere Christianity” by CS Lewis. “Yes or No” by Peter Kreeft is also interesting, but it has a tendency to be too preachy in my opinion. If you are really ambitious, you could also try “Introduction to Christianity” by Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger (now Pope Benedict XVI); it is really dense, but it is an interesting read.

Umm?? Thanks for that mass of usless mislead information?? But yeah, toadaly has a point, the so called “dinosaur” could have been anything from imaginary firgures to other forms of animals, they would have no knowledge that dinosaures even existed during that time period.

Umm, as far as the “sun shrinking” myth. Is the sun shrinking? In mass, yes. In radius over the long term, no. As the sun ages and burns off its hydrogen supply, it will increase in radius according to principles of stellar evolution. Our sun is a main sequence star, and it will grow in radius as it ages and become a red giant. So that does not prove the Earth is any younger, and doesn’t prove whatever else you’re trying to prove.(creation?)

Our Moon is moving away from planet Earth, at a very slow rate. It is expected that in 15 billion years, the orbit will stabilize again, though the sun would have engolfed the Earth with in 7 billion years from now.

Another thing when a large meteor or meteoroid has impact with Earth, it will disintegrate from impact, and leave a crator, that will erode on Earth over time in most parts of the world. Some will survive impact. That’s why you can’t find remains of many large meteorites.

“”If we started with 8 people 4,000 years ago, this would give us a population of 5 or 6 billion. “”

Just imagien if we DID start with 8 people. Inbreeding causes deformation and mental retardation and other genetic flaws.

I have no doubts that evolution caused all life forms we see today. And what are you asking?? Why are humans able to think outside their immediate functions? Well because we developed large brains, through evolution. We had large enough brains to develop tools and inventions to better our existences and insure our survival, and were eventually able to ponder ideas outside our immediate functions and surroundings. Eventually becoming more civilized. Another species, that’s now extinct evolved in such a way too, they were the Neanderthals.

Answer #5

What do you have to lose? Why not believe that Jesus Christ saved you from your sins? I believe when we die you either go to heaven or hell. In both places you live forever! I do not want to take the chance of going to hell and burning forever and ever in torment. God loves each and everyone of us, no matter what color our skin, our appearance, our bad habits-he created us, but he has given us the choice to accept him. I beg you just believe!!! What is it going to hurt? Choose heaven over hell!!!

Jesus Christ wants to have a personal relationship with you. Picture, if you will, Jesus Christ standing at the door of your heart (the door of your emotions, intellect and will). Invite Him in; He is waiting for you to receive Him into your heart and life. Salvation Is a Free Gift “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” —Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)

When you receive Christ into your heart you become a child of God, and have the privilege of talking to Him in prayer at any time about anything. The Christian life is a personal relationship to God through Jesus Christ. And best of all, it is a relationship that will last for all eternity.

Devils are not mythical things. I would like to inform your that some people do believe in devils. There are good spirits and bad spirits (devils)among us. We are living in a constant war between the good and evil. The devil thinks he has won when it comes to you. As far as he sees it right now you’ll burn in hell with him forever. The devils helpers are among us. So please don’t let him take you with him. Choose to be a child of God and you will be protected by Jesus’s blood. I, like God love you, and want you to be a child of God. My prayer is that you will allow the holy spirit to work in your heart. May God bless you and have mercy on you.

Things in this world are too great for science. This just don’t happen because the universe decided 2 explode. Also, I think the monkey thing is kinda stupid. I mean, if we were monkeys, how come they aren’t turning now? Okay, maybe the question of where god came from is umm… not clear.. but still. Also, It’s stupid for toadaly to state the obvious of something he isn’t sure of. No one knows if god is there, so that was a poor decision.

“I’ve read the Bible - twice cover to cover - it’s obviously just myth, legend, propoganda, poetry and songs. Nothing about the Bible is even slightly compelling. It’s just a collection of old writings.”

You just can’t be sure about that. You just CANNOT and that is that. Unless you can build a time machine and go back to that time, tell me it’s “Obviously just myth”.

-If you liked this comment, I just put pride into the 12 year old nation

Answer #7

When all of reality is based upon chemical and electrical impulses interpreted through our brains you cannot prove anything at all exists. As far as creation goes the most likely scenario for a precursor to the big bang is the “M theory” which put into lay terms basically says that two parallel universes came so close to one another that the rippling effect of the membrane caused them to collide over and over at different points which started the big bang process and brought the original light into existence. Science and religion are not mutually exclusive. Science just describes how God may have gone about doing things. If you read Carl Sagan’s book “Billions and Billions” You will find a mathematical equation that while not proving God’s existence does make it seem that his existence is extremely likely. Proof of God’s existence would just negate the point of there even being a God, remember religion only works through faith. “In the beginning the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.” (Douglas Adams - The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy)

Answer #8

He becomes real when we have a crisis of belief. Somewhere, sometime it happens to all of us. A situation arises when we must decide.

For me, I was asked, and, “I hadn’t really thought about it until there was a threat of divorce, turn back to Jesus,” was the start of my recommitment to the Lord. Knowing there was no changing her mind, that in her heart, she was already gone, even if NOW I was going to spend more quality time, and that my boys were moving out with her. Many other dumb things were done in my life that I’m not proud of and I knew I had to change, married or not.

People want to hear stories, not be preached to or lectured.

Don’t know why we all don’t start with our stories on how God has changed our lives.

I had been praying the prayer of Jabez for a year and the church called me in! That was seven years ago. Now serving as an elder in our independent Bible church.

Pen some stories out there! I had seen a question to that effect a while back.

Blessings as you let down your guard and expose your souls, Dan

Answer #9

jezuzizmyhomeboy: you seem confused. You can find fossils of fish in mountains because the Earth has changed in the past 4.5 billion years. The Earth is not thousands of years old, dinosaures existed 250 million to 65 million years ago. After that time furry mammals took over and evolved. Islands are formed when the Earth’s plates, push into eachother elevating the sea floor, or when pieces of land break off contienants, from earthquakes. Mountains are formed when the Earth’s plates cause land to push into eachother or land masses to crash into each other, takes thousands and millions of years. Simply put those together. The Earth was once one large continant, look at a map, Africa can fit right into South America, makes perfect sense. A billion years from now the contienants would have drifted from where they are now. Noah’s Ark, is a made up story of misunderstandings, just as Greeks didn’t understand the weather, and assumed it was caused by some god. There was a flood during that time period, but there is NO evidence of a world wide flood and it’s not even possible. They simply assumed that God flooded the whole world, because they didn’t get floods in that part of the world. The Big Bang was caused by a singularity, there is no such thing as nothing, even a vacuum has quantum structure to it.

Answer #10

He is real when He calls His elect and they answer with reckless abandon. Just as I did with 30 others by going to the Navajo Nation in Blue Gap, Arizona on an eight day trip with youth and adults from two churches.

We went to teach them about Christ’s second coming through Vacation Bible School lessons. Only four days there to love on them and show them Christ’s light and give them hope and 38, 33 kids from 4 through 16 and 5 of their moms accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

WILD kids! Some don’t even know their dads and have never received the father’s blessing, who were moved by our kids doing skits, bible lessons, and exuding love for them, unconditionally, and they were changed in an instant.

Some say that it takes two years meeting with people at least eight times before they are led to Christ. This was the sixth consecutive year our church had gone and the most accepting Christ.

“The harvest is ripe, but the workers are few.” But this time, The harvest was ripe and the workers were many.

That’s how He is still real.

Answer #11

in my opinion

  1. God created/caused our spirits (entities) along with the universe to come into being. God established the purpose for it all but doesn’t involve Its self in the continuance or activities of same.

  2. “Sin” is man’s concept and is utilized by men to control other men. The human caused “negative events” that take place are circumstances that are considered by us in the non-life experience between incarnations as we evaluate the successes and failures we made as we attempted to achieve our goals during our incarnations.

  3. The Bible (and similar religious books) is a necessary concoction created by man to control man and his environment. It was necessary because mankind, in its infancy, did not have the medical and technological knowledge to conquer and understand its environment so had to be controlled by superstitions which were found to save lives and further the survivability of the various human societies.

Why did God make the world?

in my opinion, God diversified Itself into Its many parts and charged those parts (entities) to go forth and acquire knowledge and experience and to then return to the Oneness of God.

The entities caused the creation of the universe and everything therein and individually choose to inhabit the physical bodies.

The entities may incarnate/reincarnate many times before gravitating back into the Oneness of God.

SPECULATIONS

Speculation: 1 Is God necessary?

Yes!

There has to be a Source from which the “big bang” sprang forth Creating the universe.

Speculation: 2 What is God?

God is the ultimate Cause.

God is the Creative Entity, Energy or Force from which all is derived.

Speculation: 3 Where is God?

God is in a state of awareness that is outside the universe.

God has morphed part of Itself into those entities (spirits) that inhabit the universe and the physical bodies within.

Speculation: 4 Why is God?

God Is because God Is.

God is eternal, existing independent of time or the universe.

Speculation: 5 Is God concerned?

No!

God is not concerned with the daily functioning of the universe or matters within it. That is our domain and subject to our whim.

Speculation: 6 What are we?

We are the spirits (entities) of God.

God morphed into Us and we continue to create according to God’s purpose.

Our physical bodies are simply the means we use to experience and function in the physical dimension.

Speculation: 7 Why are we?

We are for the purpose of gaining knowledge and experience.

In the end, we gravitate back into the Oneness of God allowing for the fulfillment of God.

Speculation: 8 Evolution

Evolution is simply a tool of Creation.

The entities often influence the direction of evolution along desired paths.

From my chosen path I stray, Yet my God any’er turns away; For I have learned – and understand, That where God is – is where I am!

Answer #13

I believe God is real. I’m a Christian so I believe that Jesus is the way to God. I’m an educated woman (a teacher) with a scientist husband - we read the ‘New Scientist’ magazine every week and have no problem with linking the scientific research you’re talking about with our own experience of God.

My comments would be: No one should be scared that science can disprove God. It can’t, but that’s not its point. The point is that science can discover new things and help people now - I see that as being well in line with what God wants for the world he made.

No one can actually ‘prove’ God either, outside of their own experience. That’s not the point, either. I really couldn’t ‘prove’ my husband to you - I can tell you about him, I could show you a photo, I could use my wedding ring and our two children as ‘proof’ but you haven’t met him so you could genuinely argue that my evidence was not definitive proof that I am married to the guy. However, I know him and I know our history so I know he’s real.

When the people here are talking about knowing God is real, it’s that personal experience they are talking about. If their style of knowing God seems not for you, that’s fine - God has made us different and if you got to know him you wouldn’t be exactly the same as me, or as amblessed, or paco, or boredgirl123. But anyone can get to know him - it’s not some kind of exclusive club. God made everyone and loves everyone, Jesus died for everyone - the chance to know him is there for each person.

Answer #14

Question: “Did God create evil?” that is what I think you are really wondering it is what turns people most off to Yahweh ( another name for God) and it is what people wodner the most I can give you a good answer to it. and maybe that will help you find your self.

Answer: At first it might seem that if God created all things then evil must have been created by God. However, there is an assumption here that needs to be cleared up. Evil is not a “thing” - like a rock or electricity. You can’t have a jar of evil! Rather, evil is something that occurs, like running. Evil has no existence of its own - it is really a lack in a good thing. For example, holes are real but they only exist in something else. We call the absence of dirt a hole - but it cannot be separated from the dirt. So when God created, it is true that all that existed was good. One of the good things that God made was creatures who had the freedom to choose good. In order to have a real choice, God had to allow there to be something besides good to choose. So God allowed these free angels and humans to choose good or non-good (evil). When a bad relationship exists between two good things we call that evil, but it does not become a “thing” that required God to create it.

Perhaps a further illustration will help. If I were to ask the average person “does cold exist?” - his/her answer would likely be yes. However, this is incorrect. Cold does not exist. Cold is the absence of heat. Similarly, darkness does not exist. Darkness is the absence of light. Similarly, evil is the absence of good, or better, evil is the absence of God. God did not have to create evil, but rather only allow for the absence of good.

Look at the example of Job in Job chapters 1-2. Satan wanted to destroy Job, and God allowed Satan to do everything but kill Job. God allowed this to happen to prove to Satan that Job was righteous because he loved God, not because God had blessed him so richly. God is sovereign and ultimately in control of everything that happens. Satan cannot do anything unless he has God’s “permission.” God did not create evil, but He allows evil. If God had not allowed for the possibility of evil, both mankind and angels would be serving God out of obligation, not choice. He did not want “robots” that simply did what He wanted them to do because of their “programming.” God allowed for the possibility of evil so that we could genuinely have a free will and choose whether we wanted to serve Him or not.

Ultimately, there is not an answer to these questions that we can fully comprehend. We, as finite human beings, can never fully understand an infinite God (Romans 11:33-34). Sometimes we think we understand why God is doing something, only to find out later that it was for a different purpose than we originally thought. God looks at things from an eternal perspective. We look at things from an earthly perspective. Why did God put man on earth knowing that Adam and Eve would sin and therefore bring evil, death, and suffering on all mankind? Why didn’t He just create us all and leave us in Heaven where we would be perfect and without suffering? The best answer I can come up with is this: God didn’t want a race of robots who did not have a free will. God had to allow the possibility of evil for us to have a true choice of whether to worship God or not. If we never had to suffer and experience evil, would we truly know how wonderful heaven is? God did not create evil, but He allowed it. If He hadn’t allowed evil, we would be worshipping Him out of obligation, not by a choice of our own free will.

God created the world and it was good. And because we let Satan in, that’s when evil began to exist on the earth. And so evil is the lack of good. Without evil (I.e. bad, not good) we wouldn’t know or have any way to measure good.

I mean, how would we know God is good w/o first knowing that something was bad. And then when He delivers us from that thing, or brings us through it, we wouldn’t appreciate it.

Like the myth that good and evil are equal-opposites, many people believe that God and Satan are equal-opposites as well. That is definitely a big, “no.” You see, God created the world, despite what some people may believe. And he created the angels, people, the earth, etc. Satan was actually an angel, named Lucifer, who was the father of music. Eventually Lucifer got tired of God being the one in charge, and became jealous. So basically he rounded up a bunch of angels (1/3 of heaven, to be exact) and fell to hell. That’s who we call the, “fallen angels” or “demons.”

I say all of this to say that Satan was the first to fall. He is the one who causes corruption. God had to allow him to do his evil thing, or else he would have been a God that controls the world to make us do everything He wants, perfectly, w/o question. Yes, God controls the world, but only to the degree that He lets us do what we want, even if that means not obeying His will. Anyways, because God allows Satan to bring about evil on the earth; God is the ultimate authority. Satan cannot do anything w/o God first letting him. And therefore we see that Satan has nor authority except what God allows and is in no way an equal-opposite of Him.

Oh, one more thing. Many people also think that God is mean because He allows evil things to happen, or that He takes out his wrath on us just because He feels like it. But that’s definitely not true. God is a God of love, grace and mercy, but He’s also a just God. He’s not like the Gramma who lets you do whatever and if you get in trouble just be like, “Oh, oops! Don’t do that again, sweety…” I mean really, who always listens the first time someone tells you not do something? He is the God who is like the responsible, good parent who knows that if he/she punishes their child for the wrong they did, the child will learn not to do that. It’s a system of rewards and punishments, like we all [should] go through.

Just because God chooses to be just doesn’t mean he doesn’t care. It’s just like Mom or Dad when they say, “This is going to’ hurt me more than it hurts you.” He loves us, and part of that love is making sure we learn the difference between right and wrong…

Nothing finite can be infinite (eternal). Since the universe is made of finite things (matter, time, space), it therefor must be created by something without time (timeless), thus making it eternal. If it is eternal, it must be infinite, and if its the Creator, it must be God.

The universe changes, and time is the measure of change. How many changes have happened before right now? If you claim an infinite number of changes (which is impossible because you can not have an infinite amount of finite things), it is a logically impossible to conclude we could ever have reached this moment in time. In a world of cause and effect (which we live in), there can not be an infinite regress (an infinite amount of cause and effect reactions to get to a certain cause).

Allow me to rephrase. Imagine that the Earth orbits the sun every 365 days (it does). Now, on Mars, a year is much longer than an Earth year, being 687 Earth days (basically double). So, for every 2 years of Mars, Earth has circled the sun approximately 4 times. Now, imagine that this has been going on for eternity. By your logic, they would both have circled the sun the exact same amount of times, because its been going on forever (this is clearly impossible). This shows the impossibility of an infinite regress, whereby there could not have been an infinite amount of (x) before right now, in a finite universe based on time.

Now, back to God. God exists outside of time, in Eternity. God created time, and time is irrelevant to Him. God is Eternal, not created. Firstly, you have 2 choices; either everything came from nothing (which is impossible), or something always existed and created us. You have no other choice. Take a moment to think about that, remembering that it can not exist in time, that would be impossible. Time can not be eternal.

This thing that always existed would be considered Eternal, having transcended time, space, and matter, being everlasting, having always existed. If you argue this is impossible, I would argue the contrary; it is impossible for this Eternal ‘thing’ to not exist, because the alternative is that nothing existed, which could only produce nothing. So, something always existed, and is therefor Eternal.

Now, for something to be Eternal, it can not consist of time, because time must have had a beginning. We exist in a universe of causality, so an infinite regress is impossible; there could not have been an infinite amount of time before right now, because we never would have reached this moment in time. That means time had a beginning, and whatever created time exists without time, beyond time, in timelessness; Eternity.

So, this Eternal Creator, created time, and the universe. This Eternal Creator clearly is extremely powerful, because the energy of the trillions of stars in the known universe were created by this Creator. And obviously, the Creator is extremely intelligent, having created an intelligent being such as mankind and a world in which to populate with it.

More often than not, in today’s society, are people who ask this question. “Is there a God?” Christians firmly believe this due to faith. Pagans believe in multiple gods and goddesses. Science states that God is a myth. Religions state that science is wrong. Arguments ensue. So, who is right? Is anyone right? We all evolved from a single celled organism. That is proven factual scientific proof. So, where did that single celled organism come from? The big bang theory states that there was an explosion that happened and existence just “popped” into being there. No God. No higher form of life. Darwinism states that evolutionary processes happen to weed out the weaker of a genus or species so that it may survive. If we did evolve from apes why do they still exist then?

So, is there a God? Christians will tell you that there really is a God or supreme being. Science will try to disprove the ideologies that are instilled in The Bible.

I believe, firmly, that there is something greater out there. As to the ideologies that religion has tried to instill into society throughout the dawning of Catholicism I am against. If there is a greater being of a supreme nature that truly does exist I don’t think we need to worship said being. That it does not control our lives and we, solely, are responsible for our decisions we make or choose not to make throughout our short spans of life. No one can explain exactly why the cells that form a baby divide the way they do. How it’s possible. Science will give you thousands of reason but they can’t explain the miracle of birth. That’s why it is considered a miracle. Science can’t explain it.

I know I haven’t really answered this question with much clarity, but you have to take this into consideration. No one can really answer this question. People who try to, (and I really emphasize the word try), are going on what they personally believe. Not factual evidence to present in defense of their arguments. No one can truly answer this question with an unbiased perspective because everyone who wants to answer this question has some form of belief, whether that belief be for or against the thoughts of Creationism. Yes, people can quote scripture from the Bible. However, no one can prove or disprove what is in the Bible so you can’t really use that as a defense in this argument. No matter what you want to say in defense of using the Bible in this instance ask yourself this question. Can you prove to me, beyond a reason of a doubt, that EVERYTHING in the Bible has happened and is truth? No, you can’t. To say otherwise makes you a fool.

So, to conclude this little tirade I have gone through is this. I am not defending nor am I attacking religious theorums and philosophies. I am just saying that no one can really answer this question. If a person could prove that God really did exist then that person should get a Nobel Peace Prize for the proof that God exists. But, no one ever will.

Answer #17

In contrast to believing in the Bible, I believe:

  1. That God is that Creative/Causative Force that exists before the beginning of the universe/time and continues to exist outside of the universe and time.

  2. That “Force” created/caused the spiritual/soul entities to come into being.

  3. The spiritual/soul entities continued the “Creation” with the “Big Bang”. And, through evolution and possibly subtle manipulations, have caused the current state of affairs.

  4. The spirits/souls choose to inhabit the various physical bodies that they have created in order to experience physical reality.

  5. When bodies die the spirit/soul continues to exist and often times reincarnates into another body in order to continue its growth.

  6. The purpose of it all is for the spirits/souls (entities) to gain knowledge and experience and to ultimately rejoin or evolve back into the Oneness of God.

From my chosen path I stray, Yet my God any’er turns away; For I have learned – and understand, That where God is – is where I am!

jezuzizmyhomeboy: That was some nice copying and pasting. I did check out that link there’s hardly anything scientifically accurate about it. It relys soley on the idea we were created and interpertions from the bible, there is no evidence for any of it at all. It avoids any scientific theory and evidence to the contrary. They do not realize or know their research did not apply to all of Earth’s Era’s.

AGAIN, there is NO evidence of a world wide flood. There is evidence of a flood in the Middle East thousands of years ago. Carbon dating atomic life is an aproximate method of dating ancient objects. It has been proven through multiple dating methods that the dinosaurs existed about 250 to 65 million years ago. Our earliest ancestors differentiated from our common ancestors with the ape line about 15 million years ago

To further address your points, I did some research.

“”The Earth slows down as it spins at a rate of a thousandth of a second. In a million years, the earth would have been spinning too fast for life on earth.””

Yes, the rotation of the earth is slowing down. The effect is small - it will take about 59,000 years for the day to get one whole second longer. Earths rotation is slowed due to the tidal action of the moon. The gravitational forces that drive the tides, get their energy from the Earth’s rotation. The length of the day is increasing by 0.0015 seconds every century, of which about 0.0007 seconds per century. One hundred years from now, the day will be 2 milliseconds longer than it is now. At the beggining of the solar system the Moon was much closer to Earth, and Earth was rotating much faster. After everything settled in the solar system the Earth did slow down a bit and stabilize - it wan’t spinning to fast for simple life-forms to come into existance. Experiments have been conducted which demonstrates that organic molecules, under certain conditions, can develop from non-organic material.

Outgassing and volcanic activity produced the primordial atmosphere(which protects life-forms from sun’s harmful rays). Condensing water vapor, augmented by ice delivered by comets, produced the oceans. The highly energetic chemistry is believed to have produced a self-replicating molecule around 4 billion years ago, and half a billion years later, the last common ancestor of all life existed.

The development of photosynthesis allowed the Sun’s energy to be harvested directly by life forms; the resultant oxygen accumulated in the atmosphere and resulted in a layer of ozone (a form of molecular oxygen) in the upper atmosphere. The incorporation of smaller cells within larger ones resulted in the development of complex cells called eukaryotes. True multicellular organisms formed as cells within colonies became increasingly specialized. Aided by the absorption of harmful ultraviolet radiation by the ozone layer, life colonized the surface of Earth.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth Has a good discription.

Another thing, don’t you think the top scientist of the scientific community would have realized this? - they aren’t stupid. They accept evolution, as an accurate theory. They aren’t trying to prove creation wrong, it’s not a theory because it has no evidence and has no testable claims.

Evolution is gradual process in which something changes into a different and usually more complex or better form, it’s necassary for life to have some sort of ressive defect that makes it better for them to survive. Changes in the genetic composition of a population during successive generations, as a result of natural selection acting on the genetic variation among individuals, and resulting in the development of new species. It’s often caused by change in surroudings or or divergence of particular species. It’s also a well tested theory, and has a great deal of evidence.

Nebula: Actually Dinosaurs were in the Bible too…Behemoth has the following attributes according to Job 40:15-24

It “eats grass like an ox.” It “moves his tail like a cedar.” (In Hebrew, this literally reads, “he lets hang his tail like a cedar.”) Its “bones are like beams of bronze, His ribs like bars of iron.” “He is the first of the ways of God.” “He lies under the lotus trees, In a covert of reeds and marsh.” Some bibles and study bibles will translate the word “behemoth” as “elephant” or “hippopotamus.” Others will put a note at the edge or bottom of the page, stating that behemoth was probably an elephant or a hippopotamus. Although an elephant or hippopotamus can eat grass (or lie in a covert of reeds and marsh), neither an elephant or a hippopotamus has a “tail like a cedar” (that is, a tail like a large, tapered tree trunk). In your kid’s dinosaur book you will find lots of animals that have “tails like a cedar.”

We would expect behemoth to be a large land animal whose bones are like beams of bronze and so forth, so whatever a behemoth is, it is large. A key phrase is “He is the first of the ways of God.” This phrase in the original Hebrew implied that behemoth was the biggest animal created. Although an elephant or a hippopotamus are big, they are less than one-tenth the size of a Brachiosaurus, the largest (complete) dinosaur ever discovered.[1] A Brachiosaurus could therefore easily be described as “the first of the ways of God.”—http://www.clarifyingchristianity.com/dinos.shtml—

Heres some facts I found and if you want to read the whole page you can go to http://www.gospeljohn.com/youngearth.htm

The Sun is shrinking at the rate of 5 ft/hr. The Earth is 93 million miles away from the Sun. In less than 20 million years, the Sun would have been so large that it would touch the surface of the Earth. Further, if the Sun had more mass, the gravity pull would be much larger and the Earth would have been sucked into the Sun long before 20 million years.

Short-period comets, like the Haley Comet in our solar system, whose life expectancy is only 10,000 years old, would have been blown apart by the solar winds years ago if they were older.

Absence of fossilized meteorites in different layers of strata on Earth proves that Evolution is a farse. According to evolution, different layers of strata were exposed for billions and billions of years, but only the top layers of the Earth have fossilized meteorites, and that in abundance.

The Moon is receding from the Earth every year. If the Earth were billions of years old, then the Moon would have been too close to the Earth. According to the inverse square law, the tides would have been so strong that everything would have died twice a day!

The Earth’s magnetic field is decreasing half a life every 830 years. This magnetic field can’t be more than 10,000 years; there is no way to reverse it.

Oil Pressure would have leaked out if the earth were billions of years old. Scientists can get garbage and turn into oil in a lab in 20 minutes.

The Earth slows down as it spins at a rate of a thousandth of a second. In a million years, the earth would have been spinning too fast for life on earth.

The current world population is 5½ billion. If we started with 8 people 4,000 years ago, this would give us a population of 5 or 6 billion.

Scientific proof of the Great Flood is elusive, not because there is not enough substantive evidence to prove its historicity beyond a reasonable doubt, but because much of the evidence is equivocal. That is, it can be reasonably interpreted in more than one way. “Proof” is evidence which demands a singular conclusion. Consequentially, we do not have scientific proof of the Great Flood per se. Rather we have a strong interdisciplinary scientific case for the Flood.

One line of evidence concerns the fossilized remains of marine life found atop every major mountain range in the world. Flood advocates (“diluvialists”) see the masses of dead sea-life found atop every major mountain range in the world as reasonable evidence that the planet’s surface was inundated by a global deluge, but not proof. Modern conventionalists interpret the same evidence to mean that ocean boundaries periodically shift, whereby dry land submerges and reemerges from the sea in a seemingly endless cycle of uplift, subduction, and erosion.

Another line of evidence concerns the global prevalence of sedimentary rock. The planet is covered in layer-upon-layer of sedimentary rock. These consist mostly of eroded, displaced, re-solidified sediments which were transported, sorted, and re-deposited in some sort of a fluid, typically water. These layers also contain of the fossilized remains of billions and billions of displaced dead things – the fossil record. Diluvialists interpret the fossil record (billions of dead things buried in sediments laid down by water) as strong evidence for a global deluge. Conventionalists disagree, conjecturing instead that these layers and the fossils they contain accumulated slowly over long periods of time rather than quickly during (and after) a marine cataclysm.

A third line of evidence concerns the hundreds of flood legends preserved all over the world by somewhat isolated, indigenous cultures. Diluvialists believe these stories represent a shared primeval experience: the common ancestors of these divergent cultures survived a massive deluge and past record of the traumatic event down through successive progeny. Conventionalists believe these stories are purely mythological and their prevalence is coincidental. These are just three pieces of the puzzle. None of the three (or any other piece of evidence) is enough to constitute proof of the Great Flood. But together they form a compelling interdisciplinary scientific case for the Flood of Noah’s day.

Answer #29

You pretty much nailed it. It’s a fairy tail for adults.

Answer #30

The fact that there have been religions and belief in gods since prehistoric times is being used here to argue that the human mind just needs to invent some handy explanations. On the other hand, it could be used to argue that the human mind, from very early times, has known there is some kind of ‘God’ to be found.

yeah its hard to believe sometimes in anything sometimes im like yeah gods so real, and then I can just think wait what about reincarnation, and what about all of the other religions, I mean Jerusalem is home to 3 of the worlds largest religion it just doesn’t make sense sometimes

Answer #36

Although I have great respect for Dr. Hawking, and share the same opinion as he in regards to gods, the mere fact that he is super intelligent does not make him right. He doesn’t appear to care about the subject and may not have investigated it at all.

All that’s required to conclude there are no gods, is a straightfoward objective review of the evidence. There’s nothing superhuman involved.

Answer #37

koolaidmomwilson, here’s what you have to lose if you’re wrong:

  • the actual time spent attending to church services/other religious duties
  • the sum total of all charitable donations made to such organizations
  • freedom from the restrictions imposed by such a belief system

In addition to that, it’s possible there really is a jealous god, but it’s a different jealous god than the one you worship! If that turns out to be the case, then you lost all of the above and possibly still end up with an unpleasant afterlife.

But the main thing you lose when you accept a belief system, is the freedom of mind to objectively explore reality. There’s a degree of maturity that arises from letting the facts lead where they may independent of the implications to our own mortality.

FYI, your argument is known as Pascal’s wager.

Answer #38

I kind of think its like a Fairy tail for adults.

Not at all, people grow up with the same thoughts about god, their education on it just gets stronger and stronger as they get older. Sometimes people don’t discover god until they are adults, but a lot of Christians grow up with it. It may sometimes seem like adults are more passionate about god, but thats because the passion grows in them.

I personally believe that god is real because of the bible, it explains everything and makes perfect sense. I know this doesn’t 100% mean that god is real, you just have to believe though and put some faith in it.

Answer #39

* its called faith..how can you prove to me that you are real..

Failure to believe ancient fairy tales supported by nothing credible at all, is prudence - the exact same prudence I imagine you yourself apply when examining other ancient myths you haven’t been conditioned to believe. In other words, you are not applying your own standards of evidence uniformly in regard to your religious beliefs that you apply to the religious beliefs of others. Why?

Failure to believe what direct experience tells you, is also inconsistent with your own standards, since you live day to day under the assumption that your experiences represent reality.

Answer #40

IT IS NOTHING!

Answer #41

Some people do believe in “other mythical things”… And it is not as simple as if you believe in one thing that cannot be proved means you believe in all things that cannot be proved. People’s views depend on how they view the world to work… So sometimes God fits into it, sometmes several gods fit into it, sometimes a concept of higher power fits into it, and sometimes there is no concept of a higher power… it all depends on how you grasp the concept of what life is and how life works… so some people base it on their respective holy books, some people read spiritual books, and some people just figure out their own set of beliefs…

And dont forget, science and religion are not always mutually exclusive…

Answer #42

I’m catholic but dont totaly believe in the bible. I think its more for moral teachings then literal. Me and most of my family work in the hospital and thats when you’ll really believe in God, devil, and angels. They say that people close to death are more in touch with the after life, and working in a hospital with soo much death around you, you see and hear things that will cement you belief in God. People have actually died on me for couple minutes at a time and have been recesitated, and were able to describe what they saw of the after life. Some patients that are dying are scared to death because they say they see these strange people waiting for them. Others are welcoming of their death because they see their past deceased relatives waiting for them.

Answer #43

fairy tale for adults written by men.

you don’t have to be a genius to figure that out.

the bible tells us not to steal and not to cheat and not to lie as if human beings can’t figure out morality by ourselves. it’s kind of insulting actually.

But here’s food for thought… Stephen Hawking (you know, the wheelchair guy) has an IQ of 280. Mensa considers 140 and above to mean “genius” and around 90 means you’re pretty stupid. not retarded or anything, but just plain old dumb. This means that stephen hawking is DOUBLE the IQ of a regular run-of-the-mill GENIUS. and he is more than TRIPLE the IQ of an average dumb person (I.e. like 90% of the world’s population IMO).

so he’s pretty much smarter than anyone on earth.

And he doesn’t believe in “god”.

So what does that tell you?

Answer #44

hey it is hard to believe in something when you find there is no proof for you.. isnt that right? like you could say how do you know the bible is real and not just a load of crap?

well for me its different… I have had an experience with god, thats how I know hes real, and its not just somethin stupid either. I know it was him. now I know hes real. no1 can take that away from me. I cant prove it to you… but god proved it to me.

no matter what non believing scientists say. I know the truth. god is real and jesus died for our sins.

Answer #45

Not believing Jesus, notice I didn’t say “not believing in Jesus”, isn’t a failure, it is a person’s choice to what they will experience day to day.

Anything is possible with God. Could this little earth and all it encompasses be contained in a molecule inside the arm of a wooden rocking chair? Think about the vastness of space inside an atom!

Reality says, NO, but google “laminin” and hear Louie Giglio speak.

Answer #46

Nebula: also I didnt mention this before but what do you think of moral law?? If we were really evolved (I guess thats what you believe) then how come we care so much about life?? If you look at the other creations in the world they dont really have a sense for right and wrong I guess. What I mean is, is if I went to your car and blew it up, then youd be furious. And I know and everyone around knows that its wrong. We have a since of morality, right and wrong, thats nothing like an animal. Do you think that would be something within us?

Answer #47

jezuzismyhomeboy, suppose for a moment that the Bible writers were not familiar with Brachiosaurs. Might they have still written those things as the result of myth making, whereby a story gets exaggerated each time it’s told? That could also explain the excessive ages given to the early characters in the Bible, as well as other clearly mythical creatures such a giants, unicorns, etc. that also appear in the Bible.

Answer #48

Answer #49

I feel sorry for those who do not belive in God! And that their have been many, many provin facts that their is a God! Did you ever read the story of Fatima? How about all the saints that have died years ago and their bodies remain intack? how about just a baby being born its a miracal their are sooo many things everyday that prove that their is a God. One day you will learn and it will be to late! God gave you a choice to belive and not to belive. thats what faith is. I also belive people that don’t belive that their is A God are to affraid and are selfish people and are to into themselfs to love another! they don’t want to relize that the way the live is wrong!

Answer #50

I do not believe in a God in any way there’s no proof, the bible is made up from misunderstandings 2,000+ years ago. It’s just a book.

To anser some of your qustions that religious folk(Christianity ect.) can’t seem to understand or are unwilling or not educated on.

Look up: abiogenesis(origion of life), evolution(process of life), Big Bang Theory(Origion of the evolution of space), Quantum physics(how everything came to be) astronomy(how planets, sun ect, come to be) Astrophysics, and Earth science.

The bible(religions such as christianity) Is meant as a guide to living morally, not fact.

Answer #51

GOD IS SO REAL!!! HE IS THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS NOBODY JUST APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE THERE HAD TO BE A CREATOR WHICH IS GOD FORGET ALL THE SCIENTIFIC THINGS JUST ASK YOURSELF HOW DID YOU GET ON EARTH , HOW DID YOU WAKE UP TODAY, HOW ARE YOU WALKING, SEEING, ETC JUST NO THAT THERE IS A GOD TRY READING THE BIBLE AND GOING TO CHURCH !!! THINK HARD AND WONDER IF YOU REALLY WANT TO BE A NON-BELIEVER

Answer #52

…babygggurl, but that line of …reasoning…, god must also have a creator, since he could not have just appeared out of nowhere.

  • How did I get on earth? I was born here.

  • How did I wake up today? My brain kicked into gear .(By the way, where’s this eternal soul thingy while you’re asleep).

  • How am I walking? With legs controlled by my brain

I’ve read the Bible - twice cover to cover - it’s obviously just myth, legend, propoganda, poetry and songs. Nothing about the Bible is even slightly compelling. It’s just a collection of old writings.

Answer #53

This is what I know to be true:

God being pure cannot even look upon sin - man, even in his very best state is a sinner - on judgement day, either: your sins are covered by the blood-shed sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross (salvation and only salvation - being a nice person isn’t good enough - even at our very best, we are but filthy rags), and remembered no more or they are not (your sins are not covered) - where God’s great love comes into play is, He provided a WAY (Jesus) for us not to perish and live in Heaven with Him (He certainly didn’t have to do this but did because He loved us so) - if you read carefully John 3:16, this is exactly what it says - each person will either accept or reject, you must decide for yourself and yes, it’s so important, it has eternal consequences - He Loves you and wants you to accept God’s free gift to man - Jesus.

I have lived my whole life as Southern Baptist and was beat as a child into early adult hood if I refused to go to church.I have MS and I have prayed and been prayed for and anointed with oil and baptised many times.I really believed deep in my heart that I would be healed but its not getting better and I sure wasnt healed.I know realize that all it was, was brain washing and people wanting something to believe in so much that they would worship a God that noone knows for sure exists. My family is holy rollers but as for me I denouce my religion because I know its bull.

Of course there is science involved in how we were created. But that does not mean that God does not exist.. Someone had to create science.. He knows all, so that means he is really smart, meaning he knows all there is to know about science.. Though we may not know it all, that is not our place… As long as we know enough it is fine.. well fine for me.. I believe in God and science.. sure we do know everything but that is just because we are imperfect and try too much…

Answer #56

But you could actually prove your husband, unless you were lying and making up stuff. that’s the point. God did not make everyone, evolution did. God isn’t even a real concrete theory, all we have a book that’s be proven wrong, many times so why should we believe that this God character even existed. Afterall Gods have been used for an explanation for unexplained or misunderstood things, so why should we assume there is even a God and sum it up as misunderstanings.

Answer #57

There are people out there who are quite powerful some so powerful they can’t even use electricity(long exlanation, lets just say magick & electricity don’t go well together). It’s all depends on how far you’re willing to open your mind. Faith is the key to everything. There are plenty of scientific theoris(all of them kinda sucky). It’s up to you what path you’ll take.
