How do I deal with my Dad?

The fact that im working so damn hard to get into college right now. Im getting tutoring in like 4 classes so that I can pass them and not struggle through them, im also studying for my SATS, and my dad continues to put more and more responsibilites on me. Things that he can do on his own, he’s just to lazy to do them. He tells me im not doing much anyway and that pisses me off cause im working so hard, plus I have a job. I’m totally stressed out and feel like im about to snap. I’ve tried telling him that all these demands are to much right now, but he just doesnt seem to care at all.

Picture the two of you 40 years from now. He’s old and arthritic, so you’re driving. He can’t even buckle himself in. You pull into a space on top of a high-rise garage and ‘accidentally’ leave the tranny in drive as you engage the parking brake just enough to activate the dash light. Before you quickly exit the car that is now beginning to slowly creep forward , you turn to him (for one last time) and say “yes daddy”…Then you do what he told you to do, NOW!

just get on with what you need to do…ignore your dad, his responsibilitiesss are his own problem not yurs!

Just do the jobs crappily. Then he wont ask you to do them again. ROFL.

Or tell him that he’s a lazy a*s prick who doesn’t think of others, and should do them himself.

Dear ana_antidrug ,

First of all if that is you smoking in the pic…that is not going to help at all.

If your Father is not listening to you on a one to one basis then I would sujest that you talk to a school consellor and try to get the three of you sit sit down together and work things out.

you could work less at your Job that might take some presure off. Get up earlier and go to bed earier may help too.
