fade/cover scar

Tomorrow is the 8 month anniversary of my ileum resection surgery. I have a 6 inch scar down the middle of my stomach. Im starting a tanning package soon, should I still have to cover it up? Also does anyone know of any ways to help fade it better?

Scars = made of scar tissue. Scar tissue is a tougher, denser flesh than normal skin, its like rewelding something thats come apart. People tend to over do it just to make sure.

Pretty much, scars are cool. They hold stories, and memories. A six inch scar is bigger than mine, so congrats - I only have a 2 inch max one =[ lol dont play with knives or blades.

Be proud of your scars =D (I have a few skintags on my stomach, I will eventually get them removed, but for now I have to live with them. Just remember it could be worse. You could be me =D)
