so I have a friend and she usually always skips breakfast. she doesnt gain or lose any weight by it. and I know she feels somewhat insecure about her body although she is of average weight. if people skip meals during the day like she does is that considered to be an eating disorder?
well she doesnt eat until like 1 or 2 in the afternoon. but she does feel somewhat insecure. but she wants to lose some weight but not a ton. but she is skinny/average to begin with. shes about 5'6 or 5'7 and weighs maybe 125 or 130. and she wants to lose a bit of weight but shes already at an average weight. I know she doesnt like some features on her body and wants to perfect it. and can feel guilty after eating some meals.
being diagnosed with an eating disorder means you meet a certain criteria... simply skipping meals doesnt really meet any criteria, it would depend on how much she weighs, how realistically she sees herself, whether she purges, binges, restricts, how much she eats in a day... the list goes on... simply eating less or later in the day does not mean she has an eating disorder...
Probably not! I doubt she is anorexic and/or bulimic! I hardly ever eat breakfast, but I don't have an eating disorder (anymore) :)! Breakfast is a very important meal, (and I should eat it!), but I'm sure she is fine! Don't worry about it, but if she shows other signs of not eating, throwing up, or excessive exercise, talk to someone. Best of luck! xx
ok thanks for the advice. I wasnt sure because I know she wants to lose some weight although she already is skinny.
is she skipping meals cause she wants to lose weight?
no it isnt darliin not a lot of people eat breakfast
how much time she has to eat? what does that mean?
actually it depends how much time she has to eat
from the sounds of it I don't think she has.
