Can you lose weight by skipping breakfast?

Well recently I feel like I have put on a little bit of weight, not a lot, but enough that I notice it, and I was wondering, in the morning I am never really hungry anyway... so if I skip breakfast... could I lose some weight? Or maybe have breakfast and skip lunch.

I have an average lifestyle.. reasonably active...

sorry... I know that it gets really annoying this kind of question being asked again and again... =S
