Do you believe GOD gives us The Desires of heart for a reason?

My Husband & I would love a baby girl , we have 4 Spunky Sons & A Girl would complete us!! ok so heres my question,,,as it is a strong desire of ours & as it says in Bible that anything you ask in my Name you shall receive also God gives us the desires of our hearts so we can ask,,,

so we have asked & we have prayed but still after praying & asking, say we went for a girl but in the end did not get a girl does that mean we didnt because we didnt believe 100% in faith in him that we were going to be blessed with a girl or do we get what God wants to bless us with?

also all these Ovulation kits, Basal thermometers & methods on how to have a particular gender are they fake? can you go by all of these methods & still get opposite?

I am really confused?? I think what I want is confimation or to be prophersized over, does that make sense? I think if I had this then I would go 4 it!

can anyone that has total faith in Christ answer me & give me advice please, I would really appreciate it!! thank you & bless you xx

sweetheart, god would NEVER “punish” you in that way for any reason! You were ment to have those boys for a reason. It has nothing at all to do with faith or your goodness or whatever! If you were ment to have a girl, you will. about the gender things, I really dont know, I heard you on top will give you a girl, but honestly I think all that kinda thing is fake, its a luck of a draw in my opinion wether you get a girl or boy. GOODLUCK!

Answer #2

Thats not God. God dosent exist. Thats just genetics, every birth is a 50 50 chance to be a boy or girl, unless its a hermafitie.

Answer #3

im not religious in any way and im also defininatly not going to offend you because I see why different people are like… muslims and believe in god or christians etc.. but seriously, if you want a girl EAT DAIRY PRODUCTS when you are trying to conceive..

Answer #4

* that mean we didnt because we didnt believe 100% in faith in him that we were going to be blessed with a girl or do we get what God wants to bless us with?

If there are any gods out there, they are not in the business of granting wishes, regardless of how much you believe. Have you ever considered the possibility that those who told you prayer works, are simply full of it?

If you want to be 100% sure your next child is a girl, adopt.

Answer #5

I think if you’re on top you have a 50% chance to get a girl. If you eat dairy products while pregnant, you’ll have a 50% chance for a girl. If you worry a lot about it you will have less chance of conceiving.

Just relax. If you and your husband are ready to have children, pay attention to your ovulation cycle and whatever you are meant to have will be. You will fall immediately in love with whatever you have.

Enjoy your baby! God Bless

Trust in the Lord. Be patient.Keep believing for the desire of your heart.

Answer #10

We must remember that God’s time is not our time - He could just be saying ‘not now’ or ‘I’ve got something even better !’ - we cannot know but one things obvious, you and your family have been richly blessed already…Take care !!

Answer #11

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in our own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Prov 3:5-7 Tell Him your desires (as I’m sure you have) then surrender totally to Him. Only in complete submission to Him can we have real peace and joy. Jennifer

Answer #12

I think that God really loves to give us the desires of our heart, but, I think we have to submit our will to him, first. In other words, I believe that our attitude should be, Lord, I love you, and I really want a beautiful baby girl, but, I love you so much that if you choose to never give me what I really want, I will love you just the same. And I am willing to release my desires into your hands, knowing that you have my best interest at heart, and that, if it is really your will for me to have a girl, then I will, in your timing. This is perfect submission, and I think that is really what God is looking for. If you can let go of the desire, and let God work it out, as he wills, this is complete trust, in him, as your heavenly Father, and allows you to rest in him. There is no stress in rest. Just complete trust. (((hugs)))

God bless…

God has a plan for that boy of yours! maby something would have happened to that baby girl later on and you would have been devistated! You’ve got to remember that God sees the “ big picture” while we only see what seems reasonable. We may never know that if he granted all our desires something bad would happen!

That baby boy is going to be AMAZING! enjoy him! GOD BLESS!

Answer #14

Leaving the religious part out of it, there is nothing you can do that will raise your chance of having a girl (unless you go in to a doctor)… so stop buying those products

Answer #15

Did you have your girl yet.. =)

Somebody spoke about full submission and I agree with that. It was very wise what that person was saying. But their are good reasons that we should listen to God and take counsel from him about our lives.. It benefits us to trust in God even though sometimes it seems like God is just a harsh ruler… Okay first of all, there is nothing wrong with God giving you in particular a girl. But the bigger question is, why do you want a girl? This is what interests God. It’s all about your heart. What is it that you want in a girl? What is it in your heart that longs after a girl? Is it a righteous thing that pleases God. Or is it a selfish motive that will only become a burden later on. It’s good that you are interested in what God thinks. That’s why you ask such a question. But you have to remember when it comes to the desires of the heart, that God wants your heart for him. So God is all about the heart.

Here is something bigger. God does not want us to set our hope in this life at all. But he wants our hope to be in heaven with him. He wants us to live our lives according to our resurrection. When we die, we will go to heaven and give account for our lives. So with that in mind now, what should be the right motive for a girl? Is it so somehow advance your Fathers kingdom. Or is it just something that your trying to secure for yourself, like some object of devotion here on earth. So the question we should really ask ourselves in view of Gods salvation is, “What is the desire of my heart?” “Is it what God desires.” “Does it serve Gods purpose in the earth?” “Or is it just something I want for myself.” If it’s just something you want for yourself, it has nothing to do with God. It has more to do with greed.

What do you desire? A happy life here on earth? Is that all you want? What is your desire? Christian life is a life that desires Jesus Christ. Is that your desire? Then this desire should be second to Christ.. But of coarse God wants us to have good purpose to our lives here on earth. Abram wanted a son. But Sari was barren.. Abram wanted his name to be great on the earth like many father.. Guess what? God had the same desire for Abram. But only, God had bigger plans, and Abram needed to learn somethings first. God wanted to teach Abraham to trust in his direction instead of insisting his own all the time. But Abram messed up many times and because of it, he suffered a lot, by his own mistakes. One was that, when things looked impossible, they did not listen to God and took matters into there own hands. Because of that, Abram had sex with a servant girl and she bore Ishmeal. This was do to his own unbelief.. But God still wanted to show his something greater than he knew and God dealt with him. Finally God did give him his promised son and he changed his name from Abram (Exulted father) to Abraham (Father of many nations). Through his seed, the whole world would be blessed. Jesus would come from his struggle. The whole point of the story was that Abram was only interested in his dream as being an exulted father. He just wanted one son and to be a good father. But God wanted to show Abraham, he could live that kind of small life, or he could trust God who had way bigger plans for him. By trusting God, he would not just be a father on one child, but he could be a father of nations. When I first heard this question, I sensed that you where a little indignant toward God. I could be wrong and if I am, I’m sorry. But there is a bigger purpose for trusting and desiring only God. So now Abraham had the son he always wanted. God came through. So now Abraham would trust in God no matter what. Then suddenly, God came to him and told him to go to the mountain and sacrifice his son. WHAT!!!?? That seems really cruel of God to ask of such a thing. He give him what he wants , and then he’s going to take it from him. But by this time, he realized Gods ways are better than his, and even though it made no sense at all to do such a thing, he packed his tent, took his son and headed for the mountains. WHAT!!!?? Why? Because now he realized, God was far better than anything he could attain here on earth.. So as the story goes, he get to the mountain, puts his son on the rock, lifts the blade above his head, and an angel catches his hand. Give him a ram, and God was well pleased with Abraham… So what was the point. God needed to see Abraham faith in giving his one and only son. Because God would sacrifice his one and only Son Jesus Christ. God wanted Abraham to show the world what is cost to have a relationship with God. It cost Gods one and only Son his life. Abraham and his Son was the father of Jesus. The reason I went through that is to show you that, your desire is a small desire compared to God’s desires for you even though sometimes it seems like God is being cruel. So the question is What do you desire? Your will. Or Gods will.. I hope this helped.. Grace and peace to you in our Lord Jesus Christ..
