Believers ... Does god want your success ?

Is there a contradiction between being a success and living a godly life? Why do you or don’t you think so? What clues does scripture provide? Can we count on god to help us succeed? Is god’s plan for our future always in line with our own?

Answer #1

One of the greatest differences between the world’s message about success and God’s plan for success is this: the world seeks one formula that produces one set of results for all people. God’s plan is far more creative. God establishes one set of principles and then seeks,by the power of His Holy Spirit, to manifest these principles according to each person’s unique spiritual gifts, natural talents, personality, and circumstances and situations. God loves to see us fulfill our destiny according to His plan and our hearts desire when the two coincide. Genuine success_from God’s point of view_is rooted in what God calls us to be …in what God sets as the goals for our lives. Success from God’s point of view does not begin and end with what we do in our lives. It begins and ends with who we are as His ^children^.

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

God honestly wants you to sucseed and it is patially up to you but if you start, he will help. It won’t always be easy, but he will still help. Look at us.Two years ago we were living in hotel rooms with six kids. A year ago when we had six kids, we were living in a one bedroom place in a house that a widow lady let us stay in, for about sixth months, my dad not making any money, looking for a job. He read this verse a month before he left and everything changed. He found work (2000$ a month, not including a taxes, health care, and a 40 minute drive either way). He left his job and started his own business by faith. Now we live in a beautiful four bedroom house looking for an even bigger house because two more kids (twin boys!!!) are coming in (we can afford it now), and my dad is making more then 120,000$ a year. Just trust God, he will lead you.

Answer #3

You are reading that story WAY out of context. In that story the man would not admit his sin (you must admit your sin to Jesus to follow Jesus. This is like the first step) so God told him to do something he knew he would not do.

Answer #4

* it NEVER SAID money is the root of evil.

If you don’t love money, you’ll happily part with all of it to give to the less fortunate, no matter how honestly you may have obtained it.

That’s the fundamental message of the story of the rich young man who wanted to follow Jesus, but was unwilling to part with his wealth to do so.

Answer #5

we have a choice. he doesn’t help us succeed but he can give us blessing for it. if we choose not to succeed, then there you have it. he’s not going to make you succeed even if you didn’t try. that’s not how it works. but if you want to succeed, you have to try, and the more you try, the more likely you’ll succeed. it’s our lives, our choices. we just have to make the right ones.

Answer #6

Be bible says “The LOVE of money is the root of evil”. it NEVER SAID money is the root of evil.

God wants people to be happy, look at king Soloman is the old testament, God made him the wisest and richest man of all the world

Answer #7

I think God want us to fulfill His purpose.

Because that’s what we were born to do.

That itself is a success story.

Answer #8

He most absolutely does. Psalm 37:4-5 “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He [meaning God] shall bring it to pass. [in other words he’ll make it happen]” But it involves committing your way to and trusting in Him.
