I have a six year old boy and he thought he could behave this way towards me he quickly learned because I would not give him any meals but lunch and supper because he decited not to eat breakfast even if its a good day. Do not give your child snack or any juice untill they have had a good sized meal. As for behaviour tell her that she will be asked to do a chore and they can not leave that part of the house untill the chore they have been punished with is done. Try a sticker chart with a prize for every 10 stickers and stickers should not be rewarded untill right before bed and they can be taken away at any point if the child miss behaves. My 6 year old is the same way. When we go out to eat we go to kid friendly places with MANY food choices. Like buffets. When he doesn’t behave we just get in the car and leave. When we get home he has to lay on his bed for an hour and gets no snacks the whole night. Works well for us most times.

I have a 3 yr old and 6 yr old who had this same problem. I realized that I let them snack on what ever they wanted all day and when it came to eating a served meal they refused..they were full of junk…I eliminated all junk food…no more chips, cookies..etc.. and didn’t allow them to have anything between meals. I did introduce more fruit though to encourage healthy eating. this really helped..as far as behavioral problems..I’ve tried it all too! and I found that sending them to their rooms and ignoring them (well thats what they are to think…do watch them…and keep the door open) was the worst punishment for my children and they dread going to the room all alone. and most importantly be consistant…change takes on average 30 days…good luck
