Counselling can be one of the most effective ways to help you work on self esteem and confidence, so I defintiely do recommend you go ahead and try some. Just make sure you are as open as possible and let them help you. Remember though, not every counsellor is good for everyone and you could still have a personality clash or suchlike. If one counsellor does not help you or get on with you then do not be afraid to ask to be referred to another, as you have to work with one that is best for you in order ot make the most progess. You can definitely go for counseling on self esteem issues and confidence issues. It isn't just for depression. Also did you know that almost all people who suffer from depression have confidence issues? So therapist should be trained to work with that as well. I suggest going if you have problems they are really good and you'll benefit from it a lot.
Yes, you can go to counceling for that. There they will help you figure out why your having those feeling and stuff like that, you don't have to have something like depression, you can simply have a small problem and fix it there. Or simply to talk because you are to overwelmed.
