Who believes there is an actual difference between Democrats and Republicans?

Answer #1

I do. Democrats want the gov. to meet society’s needs (welfare, taxes, social security, mandatory health insurance).

Republicans want the marketplace (capitalism, supply/demand, and profit motive) to find ways to meet society’s needs.

If you’re talking about the fact that all politicians are funded by big corporations and that at the end of the day they are looking out to be elected, you’re right. However, they do have different issues they focus on and pay attention to. A democrat would have never tried to start the Iraq war. A republican would have never tried to bring about universal health care. During the Bush era, they tried to stop stem cell research, something the democrats are trying to reverse. Yes, democrats and republicans have widely opposing views and they do things differently.

What changes and what stays the same?… determine this and discern the truth of the matter. The proof is in the pudding. There is a lot of rhetoric about the supposed differences… but mostly it’s a cognitive dissonance that prohibits partisans from seeing the forest from the differing trees. There is one party… the establishment party that looks after the interests of the ruling plutocracy. The interchangeable menagerie of insider politicos are straight from the generic discount bin at a Costcos in Arlington VA. I’m not talking about a difference in the political philosophies that we each hold… but the adherence of those philosophies by the parties who pretend to champion them.

Modern republicans are the descendants of Chicago School Straussians. Like their Menshevik predecessors… their political affiliations are malleable… Once strict socialists… their true ethos is hidden by whichever facade suits their needs best. Their switch from socialist to capitalist wasn’t predicated upon a change of heart but rather a change of fortune… but is only smoke and mirrors… obvious by virtue of the fact that republicans have overseen the largest expansion of central government since FDR’s New Deal. Socialism was the mechanism they used to usurp power… now ensconced in power… they can hide behind the mantle of capitalism… as long as it is of the corporatist… or fascist variety. They parasitize by government sanction… this was the end they had always intended… when they were members of both parties.

Democrats are fascists who dupe their constituents into thinking they are socialists. They are warmongers who somehow convince their partisans into thinking they are the party of peace. They have stolen from the middle class to give to the rich time and time again and have the unmitigated gall to consider themselves the party of the people. It’s a charade. Roosevelt confiscated gold to pay the national debt… owed to the bankers… Clinton looted Social Security insurance to pay the debt owed to our creditors. Obama… who voted in favor of TARP… whose financial team oversaw the repeal of Glass-Steagall allowing for the financial fleecing that has us enacting austerity measures… has convinced his sycophants that mandatory health insurance is actually for our benefit. With socialists like these… who needs CEOs?

I call bullsh!t! It is.

We operate under the delusion that appearances are reality when vetting the truth is too taxing.

And to prove this theory we need only loook at the devisive issues put before us at each new election season. It is called divide and conquer. If they can keep us fighting each other than they will control us. We desperately need to pull together as a people. If we dont than The banks and corporations have one. They probably have already one anyways. . .
