  every time you ask him if he is hungry give him positive reinforcement, like saying your hungry to in a happy tone, of just randomly give him food when you think he is normally hungry, eat with him and make it a positive experience, then soon enough he will not be afraid to ask you.

  well give him something to eat if he dosrnt want it dont make him eat it
