Would you say true or not true ?

I read this statement: “Many members of Congress said that (French President Nicolas) Sarkozy’s speech (to a joint session of Congress) was more pro-American than most of the speeches they hear from their colleagues on the floor” - Would you say this is true or not true ?

That makes no sense…a foreign president, citizen, or entity can’t by definition be more pro-American than an American Citizen.

Does he pay the IRS taxes? File a 1040? Vote for repulicans OR democrats? Nope, none of the above.

Even if you vote for “Mickey Mouse” or “none of the above” but vote in an American election, you’re being “pro-American”…he might have been more “pro-American” than other foreign officials, but by definition, he can’t be more pro-American than a citizen here, unless he starts paying taxes which further the aims of the US government. Government doesn’t exist without money to pay for it’s aims, so those who fund the government are the most “pro-American” :)
