Would this be considered rape?

I was thinking and a random question just popped in my head!

Okay, if a 17 and 18 year old were sexually active with eachother could the 18 year old get charged with rape because the 17 year old is a minor? and no, its not me im just curious.!

check the laws. because in my state. even if the minor is willing, it is still rape. because they are a mionor. it does not matter. which really sucks btw.

well the age of consent is 16 in Ohio. and no it is not considered rape if you are over the age of consent. And the only way someone can get trialed for rape is if you take them to court or get them arrested for it.

Well no, I don’t think so, because if the 17 year is consenting to the sexual intercourse then its not rape. Its all about a matter of age though. I think laws about that kind of stuff are different from place to place. Like its legal to have sex at 16 in the UK so it wouldn’t be rape over here Kirsty x

actually that depends on the state because statutory rape is different in each states there is a state law somewhere where the age of consent to have sex is 14 but in nyc its 17 so it all depends unless the other person is nineteen and the other person 16 then thats rape even if the younger person is over the age of consent
