I read about this today, and saw it so crazy! If your not a virgin then its your own fault (unless you have been raped or forced too have sex) and you should pay the consequences but some women seem to have other ideas about this :O

No, and quite simply i think its an incredibly stupid idea. bacially it would be nice for those countries where women feel like they would rather die than have there family know there a virgin and not married, to get out of the middle ages and have some common sense slapped into them. sex is sex, it shouldnt be a death sentace. women should not feel like they need to "get a new one" because the main reason they do is because they are scared for their lives, this insanity just needs to stop, everywhere.
Given that women do not all have hymens of the same thickness or whatever, (some not at all) I find it... backward... that people would equate a hymen with purity. Especially since there is so much you could do without breaching one, that it is inconsequential.

This is used by a lot of young prostitutes, where they can charge (for example) a hundred dollars a trick, they can charge thousands for a virgin, and the john will never know he was "screwed" out of the extra money.
In some cultures the virginity of the woman is a matter of life and death --- literally. So maybe the question might be "Would you rather use a fake hymen or be put to death, perhaps by your own family?"
