Why is my psp battery dying so fast?

One time I tried to turn my battery in to a pandoras battery by taking it apart when I tried to take it apart by sticking a little knife in it it made a crack noise so I stop and tried turning it on but it didnt turn on I thought I broke it I put it on the charger and it came on and before I tried taking it aprt it still had a bar left so for some reason now battery energy is sucking out really fast and ideas what I can do

Answer #1

Buy a new battery psp batteries are diifferent by the psp console -the original psp has 1800 mAh battery -the slim and lite psp has 1200 mAh so its normal for the slim and lite to have a shorter battery life.

Answer #2

You mean faster than usual? The PSP’s battery life was never that great in the first place…

I don’t know what the heck you did to it, but if you’ve had your PSP for a long time, rechargeable batteries tend to loose their charge after a few years of use anyway.

Answer #4

thee only thing I can think of which would cause this issue is that the snapping sound was actually your energy conservation cable (e,c,c) coming away from the board if this is the case the only thing you can do is buy a new battery
