why does my discharge smell funny?

I have the same thing… but I used to smoke and not clean reguallary .. now I smoke one off and clean more??, im bacicly flat chested and I ate it ): .

Actually a fishy smell is not a yeast infection. It could be something called bacterial vaginosis, which is basically because the ph balance (natural occurring vaginal flora) in your vagina gets a bit messed up.

There are a variety of causes for it, and generally being too clean I.e. douching can cause it, otherwise smoking.

What disturbs me a bit is why a 13 year old would have to spin a tale to their mother about a vaginal infection?

I wont tell my mum because when your 13 you feel really self concious about ureself and try and keep to yourself. its like a 14 year old telling there parents theyve had sex. also - I dont smoke

I forgot to add that sex can also cause you to get it (but usually multiple sexual partners). You shouldn’t be scared of telling your mom about it. It’s a common thing that women get.
