I believe in god, not because he did something great beck then or he was the son of god… I believe in god because he brings people out of dark places just by being their image of a saviour…

THAT needs to be believed, and said more often, by more Christians.

It is this same being, who also (according to scripture) instructs his minions to BELIEVE without KNOWING…

Sigh. Atheists and stubborn religious folk both annoy me. Both so certain in something they can’t prove. You cant prove God. Not through a religious text (I’m sorry, but how is that proof? That’s like saying Harry Potter and wizards are real because it’s in a freaking book!) and you can’t disprove God, just like you can’t disprove unicorns or ghosts… You can talk about likelihoods and probabilities, but no one on earth has a definite 100% answer to this question. So yes, go ahead and believe what you want to believe, but no one can claim to have all the answers…

can you SEE the wind? no…God wants us to have faith.. he wants us to believe…everybody would belive in him if he showed his face…thats why its our responsibility as christians to spread the word. you have to have faith. I’ve have a hard time understanding why everythin on the face of the earth EVOLVED…where did that come from.. people can believe that we evolved from monkeys, but they have a hard time believing we have an almighty creator… its as simple as that…

I agree with you 100%! there is no physcal evidence that he exists. my parents are religious and there like ohh god gave you this and go does this. well I did beleve in go before they made me go to church. then I started hating church. then they made me read some of the bible. and a person wrote the bible so it can’t be real. and even if he is real. he just wants us to live our lives. but if he was real how come he never said hello to us or showed himelf to us. because he doesen’t exist. omfg… this one is interesting. reading these all… me? well I am wiccan. a green witch to be exact. I believe in healing and herbal remedies. but thats my belief, and this is about christianity, catholicism, and all those other ones… (why are there so many, they believe in the same thing…) but I find it hillarious all the debate on this. this is why I am wiccan. because even though I am open to everyone and their beliefs, the things people say make me laugh.

I see that us not seeing wind or us not seeing black holes is not like not seeing God. You can’t compare God with anything because He’s NOT like anything. God is shown/proven through faith. (unless you go to a “dead church”) No, Christians do not have mental breakdowns, we just see that there is something bigger, something more powerful, something that made all of this. You can’t prove it can you. Well I can’t prove God exists neither, but He’s there. HEY! Why do we have Sunday taken off? It’s the Sabbath Day to fully commit to God. It might work out now, but I would start panicking if I were you when you are dying in: …a few days, …a few weeks, …a few months, …a few years? You don’t know when you will die, but the longer you wait the harder it is to convert to Christ because you live in sin and will be consumed by sin. Ever wondered what happens when you die? If you just go back to the Earth and turn into a flower, why not kill yourself now? After all, you won’t remember being a human as a flower, I’m pretty sure…No point of living a good life if you don’t make a good use of it by turning to Christ. In the Bible, it talks about having a mind of a child, an adolescent, and a man. The analogy of this is physical mind maturity to spiritual mind maturity. People being dense to say “God doesn’t exist, there’s no proof” well you have a pretty immature mind. As for Christians, we know that there is a Heaven and a Hell. If you have salvation you go to Heaven and if you don’t you go to Hell along with the other non-believers and non-saved people. Does this make you sad, mad, happy, or indifferent? Some of you posted that you don’t want to believe in God because it’s easier not to. Well, did you try from step 1? It’s rather simple. Go to church. Not just any church, it has to be a living church, where there is support and love. Yes, enjoy life. But remember that it’s not about you. It’s about Him and do things that please Him and you will be equally as pleased. When I worship the Lord, I feel great! For all you atheists, did you ever consider going to church? What’s your motive in life? (What’s the point of living?) If you think the answer is something as weak as sex, then you are so far from the Truth.

It’s not that easy… believing in something that you DON’T believe in, is nothing simple.

I cant believe in a God the would punish you for not believeing in him by an enterity in hell…but he loves you.

This is what I believe and know to be true: God being pure cannot even look upon sin - man, even in his very best state is a sinner - on judgement day, either: your sins are covered by the blood-shed sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross (salvation and only salvation - being a nice person isn’t good enough - even at our very best, we are but filthy rags), and remembered no more or they are not (your sins are not covered) - where God’s great love comes into play is, He provided a WAY (Jesus) for us not to perish and live in Heaven with Him (He certainly didn’t have to do this but did because He loved us so) - if you read carefully John 3:16, this is exactly what it says - each person will either accept or reject, you must decide for yourself and yes, it’s so important, it has eternal consequences - He Loves you and wants you to accept God’s free gift to man - Jesus - ‘if you are a truth seeker, then you will find Jesus’…Take care !!

I would say that life and the universe both prove God doesn’t exist. Both are clearly not the result of a perfect and intelligent design.

Before you ask your self that you have to first ask yourself where does the sky come from,the sea,the earth and secondly ask yourself that is it possible for men to create that as the bible says God created the heavens and earth ,then in the beginning the only people who were on earth was Adam and Eve well the questions is where did they come from,but bare in mind that they were not born they were created so my answer to your question is that no one can convince you if you don’t want to,and the only thing I can say to you is as long as there are mountains and hills God is still there.

If you read the Bible and think critically about what you’re reading, you’d realize it’s ridiculous to believe it’s the inspired world of God. It’s a collection of human writings, most of them based on mythology and most of them having an agenda. You should also study the history behind the Bible and the cultural context in which it was written.

Maybe the reason you have a hard time understanding, is because you don’t bother to research it, and are ignorant on the topic. NOBODY BELIEVES WE EVOLVED FROM MONKEYS. Evolutionists believe that humans and apes evolved from a COMMON ANCESTOR. And evolution has been proven to occur/exist… but GOD, has not.

As for the beginning of the universe (before it comes up… again), nobody was there, so nobody knows. Personally, I don’t think EITHER concept (Creationism vs. Big Bang) is all that believable.

Learn the difference between EVIDENCE and PROOF. You haven’t provided ANY proof, only evidence that in YOUR mind, supports your beliefs. …its not that simple. There are OTHER potential gods, with their OWN set of consequences for non-believers. Can you ponder what will happen to you, if you worship the WRONG god?

g-d is an idea. I call all miracles and act of g-d. even the small ones, like blooming flowers. I’m not all that religous, but I do believe in g-d. He gives you hope. there are scientific evidence as to why plants grow, but the question, why does that work, still reamians. the answer is simple, g-d. I don’t think everybody has to believe in Him, just to be good people. is there a heaven? I would like to think so. if there is heaven, you probably don’t have to believe in g-d to get in. after all, did every body go to hell before g-d was thought of? don’t think so. so if you still don’t believe, don’t worry about it. just be a good person.
