Why do my breasts hurt really bad and are hard?

My breasts have been hurting for about a month now and feel hard. I have taken pregnancy tests and they have come up negative. Also I haven’t had my period since my sophomore year in high school (I’m 20 now so it’s been about 4 years). I stopped getting the shot in january (so it’s been about a year since I got my last one) and haven’t had any signs of this until about a month ago. I’m really confused.

thanks. I figured thats what I needed to do but I asked my “mother in law” and she said to look it up and if it doesnt get better than to go to the doctor but im kinda scared to!

I am not a doctor, but but a paramedic. So from the descriptions you are talking about it sounds like there is something wrong because unless you have had your tubes tied your periods should not be stopping. Could also just be a sign of growing up and maturing, did you maybe run into anything or fall on them? But please yes go see your doctor about it and let me know what’s going on?

Answer #3

You should definately see a doc, If you have any lumps in your breasts than there is a posibility that it is mastitis, (an infection) or something else.

Answer #4

These are definitely questions for your doctor. Sore breasts can be a sign of PMS or pregnancy- but if those options are off the table, it’s time to go get checked out.

It’s probably nothing serious, but you’ll feel better when you know what’s going on.
