Why can't I connect to the internet via my router?

Okay guys, I have a linksys wrt600n router, my modem has no problem I can easily access internet by a wire from my modem to my PC, nevertheless I wanted a wireless connection and so Im using my router for it, I created a network which I CAN access to wirelessly from my computer, but the router does NOT connect to the internet? what am I doing wrong? I do have the router wired to the modem which I thought would make the router get the internet.. please HELP I will really appreciate it =)

I have no idea what your doing wrong. Call you internet provider and see if they can send someone out to see what the problem is.
