What should I do next year?

I have no idea what to do after I finish study this year! I am studying toward a postgraduate diploma in science which is basically the first year of my masters so I will most likely do some more study. Im kind of sick of living in New Zealand so I would love to spend a year studying in the UK to complete my masters degree. On the other hand, my supervisor has mentioned starting a PhD here in Dunedin. Which would be really good and I would love to do a PhD at some point. But that will mean another three years in Dunedin. If I go to the UK next year, I will probably be there for about three years also because my boyfriend will do his PhD over there. What do you think is the best thing to do?

That is a tough one really there are pros an cons to each choice that you make.

You mentioned your boy friend though an so if he means anything to you then I would seriously sit down and talk to him about were your relationship is now and were it may be going and what you want from it.

a long distence relationship or any sort is not easy…take it from me my husband was in the military for a while when we first got married and that was really taxing on the both of us he was in the navy and was out to see a lot it was hard. Been much better and easier since he got out though.

Going to school together would be benificial in many ways and it sounds like your leaning towards getting out of New Zeland any way and he is going to be there. give it a shot. Can you transfer back if it does not work out or would you be stuck there? What about cost and were would you live? Just things to take in to consideration.
