Can I drop class's this semester and next year go to school again?

im starting to have issues irl. Been sick a lot and been doing a few things I’ve always wanted to do. But not my parents are yelling at me and threatening me about kicking me out of the house or me going to court if I don’t go to school.And I have been talking to friends and people on a game called everquest I play( and make decent money playing it), that if I can drop my class’s this year and go back to school next year. I mean im not that intelligent of an person I only got an 3.0 GPA. But I had the chickenpox and missed 2 wees of school( yes at the age of 16, was in the hospital for them 2 weeks really sick).BUT OK. question is: IS THERE A WAY I CAN DROP CLASSES THIS YEAR( my last term) AND IF SO CAN I GO BACK TO SCHOOL NEXT YEAR TO THE SAME SCHOOL?( yes I’m aware I might not graduate but im going to call my councilor here in 40 Min’s to talk to them about it. but I want everyone’s info on it before I do it.

Anyone can quit school and go back later, but I don’t know what age restrictions are in place where you are. I know that here in Canada, at the age of 16 you can legally quit school.

Mind you, missing two weeks isn’t really a good reason to quit - it’s not that difficult to catch up. There are actually very few good reasons to quit school - it’s your future you’re putting on hold.

yea I know 2 weeks isn’t a lot I did all the homework already but I have relationship issues and the game everquest I play. I make about 5-6k a month off it playing it and selling accounts on it. and that’s decent enough money for me at the age of 16 IMO.And that’s as good as any job I can get ATM with my education. But I’m not going to be an complete dropout forever I want to finish school next year. But I also have to pay for a few things for myself( car, gas, food, soon to be apparent). and with school in my way of playing my game and making some money its not helping me irl.

that happened to my friends brother he miised half of his school year so he took his GED. that helpd him.
