Switch from soy to milk based formula?

my daughter is 6 months old. Her doctor at the time (whom I am not too sure about his advice) had put her on soy formula. I didn’t really see a change in her behavior, but kept her on the soy anyways. Now I am afraid that it will some how cause her to develop some type of intolerance when I do try to give her milk. I’m thinking I should switch her to milk based formula. Any thoughts out there on this one?

I HAD A BABY THAT COULDNT HANDLE THE MILK BASE SO ON THE SOY HE WENT. HE COULD NO LONGER TOLLORATE THAT EITHER SO FORMYS KEPT GETTING SWITCHED. THIS HAPPENED TIL HE WAS 3. FINALLY I PUT HIM ON STRAIGHT UP VITAMIN D MILK HE WAS JUST FINE. YOUR BABY WILL BE FINE ON THE SOY. ITS GOOD FOR YOUR BABY WHEN YOU FEEL YOUR BABY IS READY FOR MILK TRY IT. THE WORST THAT HAPPENS IS YOU HAVE TO GO BACK TO SOY NOT A BIG DEAL.

Generally soy formula is only recommended for babies who can’t breastfeed and can not tolerate or are sensitive to dairy formula. Sounds like your doctor suspected that cows milk was causing your daughter’s problem. I’d still ask a doctor before switching back though.

Babies are more likely to develop allergies for proteins they are consuming.
