How do I succeed in astral projection?

I just tried astral projecting about 3 hours ago and I got to where my body was numb and my heart started to race. Then I felt like I was falling and my eyelids started twitching along with my body. Then I thought of how cool it was that I was actually about to project and it messed it all up. I can’t get passed the twitching stage cause I get excited. Any tips?

Are you really that far into it? How long have you been trying? I have not done it with the intend of leaving my body but I have meditated and gotten to the point where I was falling and was not feeling my body anymore. Then all this lights started to come into view. Mostly green ones and blue ones and I felt like I was starting to float and that my body was sideways compared to how I laid down. Then I got scared and my body made a huge jump and I opened up my eyes.

One of my childhood friends one time astral projected but he didn’t know at the time. He always used to tell me how at night he wake up and his body is floating and the tip of his nose is touching the cealing. Then he gets scared and goes back inside his body.

That’s crazy. And I’ve known about it for a while but only tried it once and it was today. I meditated to where my body was numb, then I started to feel like I was floating, my arms , legs and eyes started twitching and my heart pumped like I was on a roller coaster. I was so close until I got to excited and came bak to reality.

Practice makes perfect. And also, I’ve heard that people tend to “‘get nervous’ at the point of projection and snap out of it. Just keep your cool and focus hard on what you are aiming for :)

I experienced the same issue when I first started. Basically you want to work with meditations first, to get used to not thinking about the present. To get back to your body only takes one thought about it so you need to practice not thinking about anything for awhile (meditation) and once you feel like you have a good handle on that that is when you try astral projecting. There is a reason it is so advanced. What helps me is to think of an ACTUAL place I really like. For me it is a clearing in the woods at my university. You start imagining you are there in GREAT detail, try picking up a leaf and examine it. Imagine the sound your feet make when you walk (ex: walking on gravel) it gets SO detailed you don’t think about your body anymore and you will get pulled into that place. When you get more advanced, you can let it just take you to places you have never been and it gets really interesting The important part is doing it in steps. Master meditation (at least be really good at it) Master going to familiar places you have physically been to THEN you let it take you places.

I found that these steps really helped me. Also a good thing for getting your head in the “zone” is to imagine a tree trunk growing from your tailbone and slowly twining into the ground. It is called grounding and basically gets your head focused. Also, try counting down from 10 and tell yourself that with each number you fall deeper into the meditation and when you hit 1 you are totally immersed in it. It really helps me :)

Hope this helps! Any other questions feel free to funmail me!

Thanks , I will try it. And help me understand, you are in full controll of what you do in the projection right? Like can you explain one of your experiences?

Answer #7

Yes you are in full control. In one of my experiences I appeared into a meadow that had a path into a forest, I chose to walk into the forest and explore. I found a stream, a garden, a beautiful clearing etc. I could choose where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do
