How can I stop my coughing without medication?

I plan on going to the doctor… but in the meantime… I would like to be able to breathe. I can’t stop coughing and I can’t sleep at all. What can I do? I don’t have any medicine. :(

coughing is a reflex, and without antihistamines it will not go away so easily

now it seems you are having asthmatic like symptoms, this is not good, and hardly anything can stop this even antihistamines would not be very effective (they can be found in cough syrup and the like BTW)

id say going to the doctors to get a full check up is best because you might have secondary infections inside your lungs :S

Try steam. It helps a lot, especially to clear nasal passages and help with any kind of congestion. Sea salt spray can help too

I think I have bronchitis or pneumonia… I don’t go to the doctor until tomorrow. I haven’t slept all night, and I just want to rest. :(

  • Boil water, fill it in a bowl
  • Put in a drop of mint oil if you have that (and if you aren’t allergic to it) or throw in some herbs from your garden if you have mint, sage or chamomile growing there. Or any teabag of herbal tea if you have that. If you don’t have any of it, use plain hot water.
  • Bend over the bowl and place a towel on the back of your head. It should cover you so that the vapor remains underneath.
  • Inhalate the vapor.

Any hot drink like milk with honey or herbal tea might also help.

i dont no if u can handle sour stuff or not, but sucking on a lemon can help u stop coughing for a while. thats pretty much all i no that other people havent already said tho :/
