solving equations???

im having trouble soilving equations with fractions. im going to0 give an example in my book, and if you explain it well to me so that I could understand other problems too, then I will give best answer. please help me. ok since I cant type fraction then im just goung to say the word over.

w + 3 over 7 = negative 5 over seven

other problems I dont get,

rad 25x minus 3 rad x

ok please explain both those things to me, step by step thank you.

your second question is worded weird, so ill help with the first one. since you also used over for fractions, then so will I.

first step, you know that you have to make the variable w be by itself so…

you subtract 3 over 7 from both sides of the equation. (both sides of the equal sign)

therefore you are left with w + 3 over 7 - 3 over 7 = negative 5 over 7 - 3 over 7

with me so far? if you dont get it, you wont get the rest

so now w is by itself so now you have to solve

since negative 5 over 7 and 3 over 7 are common fractions you just subtract them

therefore, you get negative 8 over 7
