First of all stick a couple of paper towels in the book and close it up. Maybe sit on it or something... (it wouldn't hurt). Then see if is really bad enough to mess with once it dries ? If you think so then try taking a bit of rubbing alcohol to a cotton swab and gently dab it on the book. Hopefully this will work for you.
You can try and wipe off the excess salad dressing, then sprinkle cornstarch or baking soda on both sides of the paper, and let it sit for about 30 minutes.
That's about all you can do...because there really isn't a way to get liquid stains out of paper.
