How to get rid of back pain when you can't even have a massage and painkillers won't work for me?

one side of the photo is what my back was before the operation and the right side is after, I have 2 rods and 20sommat screws in my back… In the winter it gets especially bad, work complain to me about it and its not even my fault, I grew up with this… its not my fault I had to be the one in ten girls to get scoliosis…

Have the good habit of sitting straight with your feet on the floor. This might not help a lot, and may be uncomfortable at the start, but this is the proper, healthy posture when sitting and WILL eventually make a significant difference to the health of your back. Also, try to have a soft backrest. They do make your back feel better. Besides sitting tips, do try to keep your back as straight as possible(While standing, sleeping and most importantly, when carrying heavy items. These activities will put huge strain on your back). These minute changes to your lifestyle will help your back.

Try pilates. I’ve seen pictures where it has actually streghtened people’s spine and it is great for back pain, especially surgery related. Then swimming is also an excellent exercise for it. I have extremely tall people in my family (I mean 6 foot 7 etc.) and they suffer from chronic back pain and swimming actually works wonders to strengthen your back muscles. Then as kyhw said, good posture is always a good idea, considering you had scoliosis that could be a problem for you and won’t come naturally, so maybe focusing on walking more straight and exercising your stomach muscles will also help relieve back pain.
