Why was resurrection seen as a ‘reward for faithfulness’ in relation to persecutions (Christianity)?

Not sure at all it was related to ‘persecution’ - my understanding resurrection (risng from the grave) was conquering death, in light of Salvation (forgiveness of sins).

its all good, i found the actual answer, and it was a reward because if you died for your faith it was courageous therefore god will grant you a place in heaven
