How many pull-ups should a woman be able to do?

im 15 btw, know how many i should be able to?:)

Answer #1

I think you should be satisfied with about 6 if you are reasonably fit and around the ideal weight for your height.
. If you are a fairly typical overweight teen girl who skives out of school PE and games sessions I would be surprised if you could do even 1 with “good form”.
. If you do gymnastics regularly to a good standard, I would not be at all surprised if you can routinely do 100. .

thank you

Answer #5

That is very good indeed - especially if you are using “good form”, i.e. you are raising your body to get your chin up as high as your fingers on the pull up bar each time, and you are lowering your whole body so that your arms become totally extended (straight). The bar should be high enough so your feet cannot touch the floor at all during the exercise, and movement of the legs should be negligible so that it is the arms that are raising the body weight, rather than using a kicking movement of the legs to give an “inertial drive” upwards.

Answer #6

yup I can have my legs horizontal too while doing it parallel to the ground. It targets the abs too. Its way harder though
