Peace

Do you believe the entire world will ever be at peace with one another?

Answer #1

I don’t think peace is possible. its human nature to fight with each other. and I think it will be boring if everything is too peaceful.

Answer #2

As long as there is organized religion, we will never have peace. Everyone always thinks that god is on their side and that “their” god should be everyone’s god.

Answer #3

check out thevenusproject online. its just an idea but if the future was given the chance to adopt a system similar to the one mentioned on thevenusproject’s site. then yes, man could evolve. most definately

Answer #4

No…the very nature of mankind, will not allow it…ego, greed, hatred, unreasonable fear…all contribute to the why’s of war…

Answer #5

yah, when we’re taken over by aliens and the entire human race is exterminated maybe an alien race could manage not to fight amongst themselves but as long as there is and has been humanity there will be and always has been conflict and fighting.

Answer #6

nope its impossible humans cant agree with each other there are billions of people in the world, all with different opinions and veiws a lot of them are greedy and money-hungry a lot of them dont care about anyone but themselfves ect a lot of them are selfish and a lot of them beleive in fdifferent things like religions the world will never be at peace with everyone in it, nor the majority of people in it and if there was peace the people of the world wouldnt dissagree with one another, they wouldnt get anywere in life they couldnt evolve much and the world would be a very boring place because everyone would agree with everything world peace is really a horrible idea all we can do is try to give everyone a good education about things that are important

Answer #7

I do think that one day the human race has a chance to truly live in peace. While we still have much to do, we are heading the right direction. Although we have had a leader (that will thankfully be gone soon) who has no probelm resorting to violence to further an agenda, most sane rational people in this world want peace.

But it is not going to happen in our life time, nor our children’s, nor our great-great-great-great-grandchildren’s.

Answer #8

There will never be “peace”. Because of the uneven distribution of things, there will always be the haves and the have-nots. There will always be greed and the attempt to take from others by force, whether as an individual, group or country.

Jealousy, murder, theft and inappropriate acquisition are just normal aspects of humanity.

I hope you do not take offense,
    To that that's gone before;
'Tis only that it's my two-cents,
And not one penny more. §;o)
Answer #9

I disagree. I dont think we are born with these traits. like everything in life we learn from and absorb our surroundings. I dont know a true way to end it, but im pretty sure that as long as things are available to some and not others, we will always have the need to want more. until we all live as equals we will never have peace. which could in fact as you say, unless we do something about it, be forever

Answer #10

peace is not impossible. jealousy and competition only derive from people being elevated above others. we arent born with these things we learn them. google thevenusproject if you want to see an ideal that would truly deal with the way the world has spiralled out of control. not saying that it would be easy to implement by any means, but its a viable option for the future if the world truly does want to seek out peace

Answer #11

I believe it is possible if we would get rid of all the people who hate and are jealous. It is not hard to be nice to others. I will open doors and people will just walk right in like I owed them. Some of the smallest words in life are the hardest to say. “ I am sorry “ and “THANK YOU” There is no reason for people to be ugly to eachother, so gives people something to think about and Pay it Foward… Love that movie..

Answer #12

Peace is impossible - it’s human nature to have conflict, jealousy, and want to compete.

Answer #13

If by “peace”, you mean “lack of state military conflicts”, then yes. I think in less than 100 years the world will be at peace. The reason I think that, is that as technology continues to advance, all nations will have the ability to destroy the world. We will either hand control over to peacful machines, or we will all die. Either way, the world will then be at peace.

(at least until dolphins develop opposible flippers).
