ultrasounds where they got the gender wrong?

I have a friend who was told she was having a girl last five months of her pregnancy and she ended up having a baby boy/

I am 23 weeks and told I am having a girl but I dont know how accurete an ultra sounds is

wow!!!

well I had my 1st ultrasound at 19 weeks on monday & she looked confused as she kept scrunching up her face & I was in there 4 a whole hour & she kept laughing by herself cause baby wouldnt cooperate & it kept crossing legs & hen legs werent crossed bubs had hand & leg in front so she couldnt tell!!

then I had to change so many positions in order to try & get a better look & then just like that she said “ Another boy” she couldnt show me as I wanted tro have a look 4 myself, nor she could zoom iy in, she wasnt 100% sure, she just said she wreckons its a boy!

I told her I thought I saw three lines but she said that was the scrotum!!

so im confuse so much!

I am a mom, it didn’t happen to me but, …

…I worked for a couple of different ob/gyns for a total of 5 years and never had that happen to any of our patients. I do have a friend whose mom it happened to. it’s not all that common but it does happen. just depends on the training and experience of the person performing the ultrasound and quality of the equipment being used. we did have one instance where the tech kept going back and forth on boy and girl. but never a totally wrong answer.

I am worried about that too. =o) so far I do not know anyone it has happened to. I do know its very rare that they are wrong. you can get a 4d ultra sound. it costs a little much but worth it. keep us updated on what they say.

It didn’t happen to me, since I didn’t want to know what I was having, but I had a friend who was told she was having a boy, then…lo and behold - a girl!

That baby wore blue for the first six months of her life.

oka well im not a mom but my mom told me that when she had my lil brother they werent sure if he was a boy or a girl. but if they telll you what ure havig there usally right I’ve alked to a lot of people who had babbies and they never said the ultrasounds were evere wronge. hope that helps

how long ago was that ichbanarky? also how many wks pregnant was she when they said that?
