Live in care and don't want to leave. The kids are like my sisters

I’m 14 and live in a care home. I’ve just been told that a suitable foster carers have been found for me but I have been at the care home nearly 2 years and I really do not want to leave. There are 6 little kids who think of me as their sister and come to me with there problems like caseyanne came to me last week and told me that she had started her periods and didn’twan tto tell the social workers so I showed her what to do and we’ve kept it at that. They all rely on me and I love them like they are my sisters. My social worker says another foster carers won’t come up again but I don’t want them to. How do I tell my social worker without been seen as ungrateful??

Answer #1

I’ve been in that situation. Explain to your social worker that you have grown use to where you live and that you don’t know if the change would be good for you at this time in your life. You still may have to move. I don;t know where you live or the laws or anything.

Answer #2

wow that’s heavy… what do you think will happen if you leave? have you spoken to the little girls about what they would feel about either decision you make?
