Is she wrong?

OK. My friend is 12 years old, about 5’0, 125lbs. and she’s really worried that she’s obese. I keep telling her it’s not that bad but she says I’m lying and we get in fights about it all the time. She wounldn’t come to my B-Day party cause it was at my pool. Do you think she’s wrong to be so obsessed about it or is this a real problem? Thanks 4 any help!!!

she is wrong. she is very normal, while my friend is thin and skinny. well…if she is not going to believe in you… why don’t you just help her to be the shape that she would like ?

she shouldnt be freaking out about it I see nothing wrong with the way she is she must be really really sef conscious and she shouldnt be! I think you should talk to her truthfully if she is concerned about her weight then give her tips about exercise and healthy foods

Answer #4

this is wrong and yes, it is a problem nowdays many young girls think there overweight or obease when there not this is because of the medias veiw on what a person should look like tv, internet, magazines and celebrities all give girls the wrong idea of that a person should look like your freind is normal, and perfectly healthy by the sounds of it but its not normal for girls as young as 12 to be worrying about there weight and thinking there fat

I don’t think she would be obese but she sounds like she is probably really insecure about her weight. My sis used to be the same way. She wouldn’t get in the pool to go swimming. She never wore anything but big tshirts and sweats. I think instead you should just be there for her. Offer to go walking together or wrkout together. Say I don’t want to fight over this anymore. I want you to be happy so lets try and change how you feel? Something like that. Hope it helps=) You sound like a great friend!
