One thing I’d point out out is that states that prohibit marriage between 1st cousins recognize these marriages from other states.

Ohio is one of the states that does NOT allow you to marry your first cousin - so it’s probably not a good idea for you to get too caught up in a relationship with your cousin. My advice on a practical level would be to cool your jets or the two of you move to indiana…
