You should look for your optimal health which easily measured by your Body Mass Index (BMI). Your BMI is calculated from your height and weight. For your height and weight your BMI is 23.5. A healthy BMI for women is 18.5-24.9. You fall in the healthy zone. Although you could lose weight if you wanted to. If you lost 30lbs you would be at a BMI of 18.8 which is still in the healthy range at the lower end. Really you should be looking at your lifestyle and what you think you could maintain. To maintain a BMI of 18.8 would require a low-fat and low calorie diet and a lot of exercise. It may not be feasible to lose 30 pounds by November or to be at that BMI, but it is definitely possible to be healthier in that amount of time.

I would recommend cutting down on highly processed foods, sugary foods or simple carbohydrates, high sodium foods and drinks, alcohol, and high fat foods like fast food and increase consumption of green leafy vegetables, lower sugar fruits, low fat protiens and complex carbohydrates like wheat breads. Drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day does wonders for your body as well as taking time out to do 30minutes of exercise.

If you cut sodium by cutting downfoods such as fast food & carbonated sodas you’ll notice a difference pretty quickly (mostly water, but that water slows your weight loss and it slows you down too)

umm 120 is too low for your height. 135.. is PERFECT.

I’m starting the cabbage soup diet tomorrow…I’ve done it before and it absolutely works!! Just look up the recipe online and follow the directions. Let me know your progress every week…maybe we can be cabbage soup partners and keep one another motivated. lol
