If I were to answer that from the perspective of someone who has read a good chunk of the Bible (I did for university) then I would say "no". Many of the teachings of the Bible have been buried and are long-forgotten or are considered "taboo" to our modern culture, such as slavery.
IF God wished us to keep these teachings with us always and to follow exactly what is written down in the Bible, then no, he would not be happy with the modern world.
However, I am content with the modern world. Sure, we have our problems (war, poverty, idiotic politicians) but we have one very crucial freedom that we would have been punished for in the past: the freedom to express of our views and opinions, whether that is politics, religion, or what our favorite sports team is. This freedom is still not recognized in many parts of the world but it is expanding slowly but surely. We as humans are allowed to think in these days. This leaves so much more room for technological, artistic, and personal growth.
So in conclusion, no, God would not be happy with the modern world, but that doesn't mean that we can't.
Yes he is, but sometimes the world is to bad and mercy would be to start a new. Take the innocent away from the evil. God can keep being merciful but that doesnt stop evil. People have their chance. He cannot force anyone to follow his path and do right. What kind of Merciful God would he be if we were all forced to do Hid way only
I do not think that the modern world can be happy with any God that is not happy with the modern world.
But then, the other question is: Does the modern world actually exist? I am more inclined to believe in invisible pink unicorns than to believe in the illusionary layer of civilization that we have build in our minds.
in Genisis God promises never to flood the earth again and the reminder of that promises is the rainbow, i think that he is unhappy that people are following what the world wants them to do and not what he wants, he wants nothing but the best for his children. nothing but to love us and for us to let him love us

No I really don't! Are you? I know I'm not, and God seems like he would have higher standards then us then again he knows we will sin. But he is the one who created the world.. so his master piece is crap now.
Thanks for actually answering the question, instead of going on into something that has NOTHING to do with the real question at hand.
... Economy is going down the drain, there are starving kids all over the world, slavery still exists etc etc... IS IT NOT OBVIOUS?
Guess so. He hasn't flooded us in a long time.
God is full of mercy though isn't he?
