# Why do you believe in god and whom do you believe in?

I dont believe in god. Anyone here who believes, can tell me why he believes and whom he believes in! I think you believe nothing and its making your life f*ckin'. Answer me,why?

Nothing finite can be infinite (eternal). Since the universe is made of finite things (matter, time, space), it therefor must be created by something without time (timeless), thus making it eternal. If it is eternal, it must be infinite, and if its the Creator, it must be God.

The universe changes, and time is the measure of change. How many changes have happened before right now? If you claim an infinite number of changes (which is impossible because you can not have an infinite amount of finite things), it is a logically impossible to conclude we could ever have reached this moment in time. In a world of cause and effect (which we live in), there can not be an infinite regress (an infinite amount of cause and effect reactions to get to a certain cause).

Allow me to rephrase. Imagine that the Earth orbits the sun every 365 days (it does). Now, on Mars, a year is much longer than an Earth year, being 687 Earth days (basically double). So, for every 2 years of Mars, Earth has circled the sun approximately 4 times. Now, imagine that this has been going on for eternity. By your logic, they would both have circled the sun the exact same amount of times, because its been going on forever (this is clearly impossible). This shows the impossibility of an infinite regress, whereby there could not have been an infinite amount of (x) before right now, in a finite universe based on time.

Now, back to God. God exists outside of time, in Eternity. God created time, and time is irrelevant to Him. God is Eternal, not created. Firstly, you have 2 choices; either everything came from nothing (which is impossible), or something always existed and created us. You have no other choice. Take a moment to think about that, remembering that it can not exist in time, that would be impossible. Time can not be eternal.

This thing that always existed would be considered Eternal, having transcended time, space, and matter, being everlasting, having always existed. If you argue this is impossible, I would argue the contrary; it is impossible for this Eternal 'thing' to not exist, because the alternative is that nothing existed, which could only produce nothing. So, something always existed, and is therefor Eternal.

Now, for something to be Eternal, it can not consist of time, because time must have had a beginning. We exist in a universe of causality, so an infinite regress is impossible; there could not have been an infinite amount of time before right now, because we never would have reached this moment in time. That means time had a beginning, and whatever created time exists without time, beyond time, in timelessness; Eternity.

So, this Eternal Creator, created time, and the universe. This Eternal Creator clearly is extremely powerful, because the energy of the trillions of stars in the known universe were created by this Creator. And obviously, the Creator is extremely intelligent, having created an intelligent being such as mankind and a world in which to populate with it.

The Universe is not eternal. It had a beginning. The Universe always existing is not scientific. Matter, time, and space are finite and had a beginning. The Universe is dependent on time. Einstein showed that time and space are manifestations of the same thing; spacetime. Spacetime is finite and had a beginning. Time is dependent upon space and cannot be separated from it. Similarly, space cannot exist without time. Time is essential to measure anything. Without it, space cannot be measured, and cannot exist. Because spacetime is finite matter itself also has to be finite. Einstein showed that matter is a manifestation of energy. Without space there would be nowhere for energy to manifest into matter. Without time, when do you put matter? Matter, time, space, and energy are all dependent upon each other. The Universe could not have existed without time. This throws off the Universe existing as a singularity. The Universe had to have had a beginning because time had a beginning. The Universe could not have come about by itself. It had to be created.

In advance of matter and spacetime there was nothing. How can something come from nothing? There is absolutely no way. Something had to have existed prior to matter and spacetime. This something can only be God. Was there a point in time when he was created? Time began a finite amount of time ago. Prior to the beginning of time there was nothingness. There was no time. God existed prior to time. Therefore, there was never a point in time when he was created. He always existed. He exists outside of time and is eternal. God is not limited to matter and spacetime because he created these things. He is not bound by the Laws of Physics. He is all powerful. Because God is not consisted of matter he is immaterial. He cannot be seen, touched, tasted, or smelled. Because he is not limited to space he is omnipresent. Finally, because God exists outside of time he is eternal. He sees the past, present, and future at the same instant. Also, God can never be measured or proven scientifically because he is not consisted of matter and spacetime. You cannot understand God with science. The only way you can know God is by believing in him with your heart and soul. You must have faith in him.

i hope you do not take offense,         To that that comes hereafter;         'Tis only that it's my two-cents,         Not one penny more thereafter. §;o)       It is possible to believe in God but not in a God that meddles in everyday life. It's called Deism.

de·ism (de'iz'?m, da'-) n.

The belief, based solely on reason, in a God who created the universe and then abandoned it, assuming no control over life, exerting no influence on natural phenomena, and giving no supernatural revelation.

Britannica Concise Encyclopedia: Deism

Belief in God based on reason rather than revelation or the teaching of any specific religion. A form of natural religion, Deism originated in England in the early 17th century as a rejection of orthodox Christianity. Deists asserted that reason could find evidence of God in nature and that God had created the world and then left it to operate under the natural laws he had devised. The philosopher Edward Herbert (1583 – 1648) developed this view in On Truth (1624). By the late 18th century Deism was the dominant religious attitude among Europe's educated classes; it was accepted by many upper-class Americans of the same era, including the first three U.S. presidents.

We become what we think about all day long.

What thoughts do you have that inhibit you from feeling as if you're on purpose in your life? For instance, if you think that you're separate from your purpose and that you're drifting without direction through your life, then that's precisely what you'll attract.

Suppose, instead, that you know this is a purposeful universe where your thoughts, emotions, and actions are a part of your free will and are also connected to the power of intention. Suppose that your thoughts of being purposeless and aimless are really a part of your purpose. Just as the thought of losing someone you love makes you love them even more, or an illness makes you treasure your health, suppose that it takes the thought of your unimportance to make you realize your value.

When you're awake enough to question your purpose and ask how to connect to it, you're being prodded by the power of intention. The very act of questioning why you're here is an indication that your thoughts are nudging you to reconnect to the field of intention. What's the source of your thoughts about your purpose? Why do you want to feel purposeful? Why is a sense of purpose considered the highest attribute of a fully functioning person? The source of thought is an infinite reservoir of energy and intelligence.

Why ? - because He lives in my heart Whom ? - Jesus !

Here's my understanding and what I know to be true: God being pure cannot even look upon sin - man, even in his very best state is a sinner - on judgement day, either: your sins are covered by the blood-shed sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross (salvation and only salvation - being a nice person isn't good enough - even at our very best, we are but filthy rags), and remembered no more or they are not (your sins are not covered) - where God's great love comes into play is, He provided a WAY (Jesus) for us not to perish and live in Heaven with Him (He certainly didn't have to do this but did because He loved us so) - if you read carefully John 3:16, this is exactly what it says - each person will either accept or reject, you must decide for yourself and yes, it's so important, it has eternal consequences - He Loves you and wants you to accept God's free gift to man - Jesus - 'if you are a truth seeker, then you will find Jesus' - Seek Jesus while He can still be found for it won't be long now and the four winds will be let go and our world will be in unimaginable turmoil. Soon the door will be shut and destiny will be decided for all.

I do believe God and His Name is the One the Only Jesus Christ.

Through common grace He has given each of us the breath we just took, hearts to beat pumping life giving blood through vessels in our bodies that are so magnificently and perfectly made, that each day, trillions of new cells are replacing worn out ones, and talk about miracles, (besides saving my wretched self), look at what is before your eyes as you get up in the morning and gaze first thing into a mirror...You, wonderfully made, for His purpose. He WILL perfect in you what He has started for His Glory. Another miracle is how each specific cell functions in our bodies...google laminin and see for yourself, the intricacies and fundamental disciplines that go on inside us.

And, God looks at the hearts of man, we look on the outside. He knew you before time began and has a wonderful plan for your life. Give Him your ALL, taste and see that the Lord is GOOD! Blessings as you find truth.

I believe in God because of many things: 1. You are capable of communicating with me 2. You have gained the knowledge of computr Technology 3. We all go to sleep and wake up 4. We are alive today, not by chance or because we chose to, but because God has kept us alive. I can go on listing many things and won't won't have time to read. I want you to think of how you came into existence, think of how the flowers get their colors, surely, mankind dit not paint them. People have different shades, they didn't paint themselves. The rains came from the skies, man didn'r do it. There is a sun that is burning over 275 billion degrees, you have a heart that is beating. We can't servive under water but fishes and mamals can. Who do you think caused things to happen?

Ok. I can answer All the people are believe in something and all their hopes are making with that thing. And its make them not to feel real life and real pain. All my life I dont bel;ieve in god,and I think I am in a right way.Everytime when the people is doing work, and cant finish it as he wants,he says that "The God Dont Want that...". In my life of course were many things that I couldnt do as I wanted to do,but after that I dont let my ideas and all my hopes gone!Everytime when I feel a pain and everything wrong I say myself that its not over and my life will go on like I want, and everything goes well!

As a believer, it seems to me that life would be pretty bleak, if this was all there was to it.

I can't even imagine what it would be like to think that way. And I am very glad that I have a spiritual heritage to look back on, as my parents prayed for me, and taught me about God,and for that, I am eternally grateful.

I look at this life as a training ground for the next one.

I hope somewhere along the way, you find faith.

God bless...

I believe in God and in his son Jesus, and I love him with all my heart! He's the only real god, God is real and he answers prayers. He had made many miracles in my life, and I believe in him, and I also believe that at the end those who truly believe in him and his son Jesus will go to heaven, and spend the eternity with him. Why do I believe in God? Because he's real, he created us, I love him, and he is thesalvation

Ummm well you dont have to believe. God never said you had to!! But I hope you like burning because hell is where you are going!!! before you totally give up on God and say you dont believe why dont you stop and think about the air you breath and how God gives it to you every single day of your miserable life?? who else would love you enough to keep you on this planet!!

I believe in spiritualism. and 'god' is a name for a person who represents something, as apose to 'the religion' itself...

but it seems the most sensible relgion to me...

although I don't get this bit to your question, quote 'I think you believe nothing and its making your life f*ckin'. Answer me,why?' end quote

Talk about miracles? Talk about science! Talk about biology! I would recommend everyone who thinks god is the reason our skin cells are replaced, please pick up a biology book or use the internet to learn more about the universe and the human body!

I dont believe in god aswell. I believe in myself. if I want something I will do it myself. there is no greater power, we will die turn to dust and that it, no more. Those of you that believe there is a greater power- show him/her/it to me.

All living things are the result of evolution over billions of years, not god. Read "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins. Great book! Oh, and by the way, 2000 years from now Harry Potter will be the new "Jesus"!

I don't believe in any gods either - or the supernatural in any regard. However, I used to.

My experience has been, that whether life is truly experienced and appreciated, is independent of god beleifs.

I believe in God. with all my heart. and why do I? faith. I know he's real, and I know I'm going to Heaven. I have no doubt about it.

I be live in god in arabic it is called allah , there is soo many reasons why I believe in him , I really cant count

My life is great only by me.I can every time make me feel alive and feel so sad.So what are you talking about?
