Dear DarKDiamond,

Man are simple creatures with simple needs.

They love to feel like they are your Man, that they are watned, loved and needed.

They thrive to make us proud in some many ways and like to feel apreshiated as well.

all these traits and qualitys is a must in considering what you should do for fathers day.

My husband and I have lost two children already…and I am do any day with our third this will be his first year getting to hold a live child of ours.

In the years before though I still tried to make Fathers day some thing special for him becasue to us God gave us a child in Heaven sort of speak and blessed us by bringing us closer together..and Lord willing this one will live here on earht with us.

I wrote him a long letter telling him how great of a provider he is, husband and how much I see his love for his children and yearning to be a good father an how i admire such desires and qualitys.

We got balloons and did a balloon release that was really something went out and ate together and talked about the type of parents we want to be homes school ideas and God. How we want our family and life style it was a nice thing to do really.

This year he will have his Daughter with him. I plan on taking pictures professionaly together since i no he likes pictures to carry around. Even the one of our daughter who died he still is happy to have.

He is very much a family man and so we will be doing something just the three of us…I will be giving him an card an letter as well. we may go some were and make a Video I can put on A DVD for keep sakes I am not 100 % sure…he is happy just spending time together but then most men are.

What ever you do from your husband just make sure he knows it is from a deep place in your heart and that it is out of love.

I adivse you get the kids involved. Make him breakfast in bed maybe men like to eat after all,

Well OUR KIDS are too little to shop for him so we all go to the store and get him something he wants. But this year there are no hits so we are stuck.

I have done the letter thing almost every year in case he forgets how much we love him and appreciate him and in addition to that we get him a little something extra. But usually he drops hints but this year, nothing. Although he does travel a lot so that picture thing is a good idea. Thank you for your input.

what if u made a plaque (best father of the year or something?) and you had your kids sign it? then presnt it to him and then have your kids say why they love him or fun memories they’ve had with him? hey, don’t criticize, I’m just bouting out ideas here :)

Iam glad that it helped…my husband is difficult he is not into much but pictures he really likes. You could get a key chain picture too so that he can have one on his keys to take with him.

Men like practical things. Don’t give him something to wear that you like for example. Spend some time thinking what he likes.

If you don’t know what he likes then you may not be as close to him as you think.

it depends on what he likes well i got my 26 year old dad a gun and he loves its and i got him a fishin rode too
