does anyone on here have G.I.D (gender identity disorder)?

Im sorry, i dont recall anyone on this site having it. I have two very close friends that i met bartending though who do have this “disorder”. One is pre-op and one is post-op. If youd like to talk to me id love talk or give you any advice that i can. If not, i can give you some sites where you can talk to others like you as well.

Hello mandyloo I would love the names of those sites! Thanks for answering me! I dont mind talkin to you though too. jus been tryin to find someone who understands it more then my friends do. dont get me wrong they try to get it more but they really jus dont understand.

I so dislike that term. When you’re looking up sites, I would search for transgender individuals or transsexualism, GID is a term specifically for those individuals who have those feelings, and there is clinically significant impairment or distress (which is ridiculous, because of course there’s going to be distress, their environment is hostile towards them! but the DSM does have it’s b.s. politics). Oh look an article on it too. I’m not trying to get on a soap box here. I just dont like seeing people who are simply different treated as if they are the ones with a mental problem.
